Re: op24 V aar
About time I wrote something up for this game. All in all, it was a very good game and well worth the haul from Georgia. There were some small hiccups, but these are to be expected from any game honestly and didn’t ruin the experience for us at all. The teams were rather balanced as far as effective...

Re: The Black Mamba Airsoft Tank
We just turn the engine on and rev it when people get to close. Tends to work well enough.specter wrote:If I were you, I would put some remote detonated clays on it. You know, just in case.
Also, we already have a full 360 degree coverage anyway, so nah. We may look into cannon launched claymores though!

Re: The Black Mamba Airsoft Tank
258 or 360? If you have the 360 V8 it shouldn't be too terribly hard to find an under-dash A/C unit from a wagoneer and cool that thing down on a hot summer's day. It's the 360. The issue is that we haven't finished sealing it up yet. I don't think a car's AC will manage to do much of anything unle...

Re: The Black Mamba Airsoft Tank
If I were the owner of this interesting vehicle, I would start "greebling" it. Most real APCs have all sorts of supplies and fixtures on the outside of the vehicle. Grab handles, tool racks, storage bags, rolls of camo netting, gas cans, etc. What did you use as your base vehicle? The wheelbase mak...

Re: Military books
I would suggest the William Scott Wilson translation for The Book of 5 Rings.

Re: The Black Mamba Airsoft Tank
We've discussed that to death. I'd really like to, but there just isn't any room left. The only direction we can build is up, and it's already as tall as it's getting. So instead of adding more on it, we've been improving what's already there. We put on some air-shocks, the fans, and redid the gun's...

Black Poison Airsoft
We've been here a while, but I've been too lazy to write one of these, but I guess I probably should at some point. We're a Georgia team, but since Georgia seems to lack any active airsoft forum and is all around less involved in airsoft, we typically go to SC games. Anyways, due to a unfortunate te...

Re: The Black Mamba Airsoft Tank
Updating with some nice, new pictures here. New gun design, sight, and muzzle brake. Also includes the new custom air ventilation system (Two radiator fans bolted to the top) with a full brush guard. There is probably smaller things I'm forgetting, bu that's the main stuff. http://i.imgur.com/Z46CFQ...

Re: OP24V End Game - Airfarm - Nov 16th 17th
Alright, we are 100% confirmed to be there! However, there is a slight issue with the fact that we lost a good part of the team due to loss of interest and are now very short on players for this game. We can support a squad of 9 with the tank, but right now we can only field 4. So, please contact me...

Re: OP24V End Game - Airfarm - Nov 16th 17th
I could ask everyone to not shoot at your tanks, but they will do it anyway. Heck at times I have shot at them to try and distract them away from another area for one reason or another. As mentioned above by BP, the driver is always off limits. He is really considered part of the vehicle unless he ...

Re: Knife Discussion and Pictures
That's the unfortunate thing with butterfly knives. Unless you get a very good one, it'll fall apart pretty quickly. Nature of the beast though. I'd say it's definitely worth it since it'll be the last butterfly knife you ever buy. But I'm the kind of guy that spends insane amounts on pens and knive...

Re: Knife Discussion and Pictures
Never thought of carrying a butterfly knife... You like it, obviously? How does it compare usefulness wise to a folder? I actually really enjoy it. I've heard that it's impractical and so on so forth, but I honestly haven't ever had issues with it. The only really thing is learning to flip one open...

If you liked Sun Tzu's Art of War, The Book of 5 Rings is also an excellent book.

Re: Knife Discussion and Pictures
I personally use Gerber, Benchmade, and a Leatherman. Great quality knives. My favorite is the Benchmade 51 I carry around everywhere. I just wish I could get my hands on a Benchmade 42, but they're pricey for me. I say that and I carry a Pelikan Souveran or Sailor 1911 in my pocket all the time.......

Re: idiot88's stuff
We have a real Sig 556 Commando and it looks nearly identical to the Sig 550 you have there. The real gun feels amazing. Is the airsoft one a nice a weighty gun too?
