Re: Hunger Games: SQA 5/25/13

Dom is absolutely right about the guns/dirt situation. As someone who's been playing on the Escue's field nearly 10 years I've found a quality solution. Wait for it... Don't put your gun in the dirt. Saw a lot of people jumping into trenches gun first, or resting their barrel on the dirtbanks. So lo...

Hunger Games: SQA 5/25/13

Evening everyone! Thought I'd go ahead and kick the after action thread off. Now I've been told I'm normally a pretty sour guy in my AAR's, but for once I think you'll find that's not the case. Today's game went great, at least in my opinion. For those who weren't here or paid zero attention during ...

Re: SQA Skirmish - 4/6/13

I wish I wasn't sick and had made the trip down for this game. Sounds like a good time was had by all. The only negative thing I found was that people seem to be very confused about range issues. I understand that we have a lot of new players, so it needs explaining, but just because you see your bb...

Re: Need a team

Firstly I'll say you don't have to have a team to play. It never hurts to just show up and meet people you like on the day of an event and just run with them all day. Maybe then they'll invite you to join a team. On the issue of shoes? I have worn tennis shoes to every game I ever played but one. I ...

Re: Mission: DOUBLE CROSS

Cleric I think you're taking some of these things too close to the heart. A lot of the complaints I see are complaints that you can find in a lot of After Action threads. No one is trying to pick on you, they're pointing out things they saw as flaws in the game mechanics. Everyone's got someone who ...

Re: Mission: DOUBLE CROSS

I think if I had gone into this game under the assumption that the spies were a faction/objective type HVT equivalent to BW I would have done much better. They were effectively a third faction. I think its time people stepped back and looked at something. Bravo's failure was in great part my fault. ...

Re: Mission: DOUBLE CROSS

I hate to stroke Felix's ego (cuz we all know its already big enough), but I also thought the balancing at OP: Second Sun was done very well. Alpha CO was having a rough time and had to leave due to sickness. Bravo actually finished the outlined objectives by mid day. Then—to balance the game—Felix ...

Re: Mission: DOUBLE CROSS

So that being said: being an RPC can be very rewarding if you prepare for it and know what to expect. If you sign on as an RPC or HVT expecting to be on the frontline all day forget about it. But if you just want to come to the event, maybe do some business and chat with friends (as well as help mak...

Re: Mission: DOUBLE CROSS

RPC's are just a delicate instrument. I think if RPC's are intended to be used there needs to be a solid story behind the character and a logic behind their actions. As a commander I wasn't sure how to handle the spies. I was told they were friendly and would help me but at the same time they were k...

Re: Mission: DOUBLE CROSS

So there seems to be a lot of discussion/argument about who won, who deserved to win, etc etc... I was "CO" for Bravo. I play back and forth between Alpha and Bravo so I hope no one thinks I'm biased Bravo. Honestly I would have changed to alpha had I had time to check around and see that a few more...

Mission: DOUBLE CROSS

Just though I'd kick this thread off. I'm always curious to see what everyone thought about the game, what they liked and what they wished they had seen!

Re: All of the airsoft associations I could find from each s

If I wasn't a country bumpkin and ever planned to leave the Southeast this would mean a lot more to me. Great work, though! Extremely useful if I end up somewhere else.
