GBB pistol for 0 ft MED in summer

Post by captainkirk05 » Wed Jan 22, 2014 12:11 am

I would like to know if there are any GBB pistols on the market that will consistently chrono under 300 fps with 0.25's in the heat of the summer. I had a previous run with a KJW M9, which I eventually sold because in summer temperatures of 85+ degrees it would shoot up to 400 fps.

The KJW KP-05 has always chrono'd just under the 0ft in the summer for me. Should come with the CO2 nozzle as well if you want to go that route.

The only thing about those Tokyo Marui's is finding the gas for them. From my searches finding the gas and a way to load it isn't so easily available in America.

I thought the Tokyo Marui GBBs shot low fps because they are meant to use duster gas. Does propane still work to keep them under 300 fps in summer, without breaking the gun too?

yep a TM can take propane and still be under 300 fps with out it destroying the gun. I, and many others run TM's on propane with out any problem.

I just bought a KWA M9 PTP off Ebay with a Danger Werx valve installed. Supposed to drop the FPS by 30-40. Should be right around 300 now. I'll test it next time I go to work. We have a chrono there
