ok so on my svd.
the sear lowers when the trigger is pulled and the piston is NOT cocked.
however once the piston is cocked the trigger goes past fire point all the way to body of gun with no resistance and no firing.

i lucked out. i overtightened when installing new spring. backed screw out like 1/4 turn and trigger pull works and fires like buttahDominum wrote:You're going to have to break it down either way...
