I assume by black BBs, you mean the ones from Wal-mart where you have a choice of red, white, or black. You're missing the point. All of those are low quality. The white (.2 g) are better than using the red, but none of them are good for your gun or good accuracy wise compared to higher quality bbs. If you have a gun from Wal-mart, then OK, but if you have a good gun, you don't want to use Wal-mart bbs, and if you have a gun from Wal-mart, it won't be competitive. Yes, they work, but it's still hard when everybody else is dumping 1000 rounds a minute with every bb hitting its mark and you're using a Wal-mart shotgun.

I use an AfterMath M4 with full metal SRC internals. I have been using Crosman BBs for 3 years and I have never had the SLIGHTEST problem with them.

I'm not saying they won't work, but the other ones will yield better performance.

There is a reason I say not to use .12gs and all these people agree with me. Thanks for all the info guys. What is the FPS on your Aftermath? I must say I have yet to see an Aftermath gun shoot accurately, you should seriously consider accuracy upgrades.

I don't have a chrono, but 2 shots puts it through the bottom of a Coke can and 1 goes through both sides. I've never done any upgrades, but I would like to.

When you attend a game you will of course get to chrono it, and then you can bring it over to me and I will recommend some good upgrade options.
.12s aren't good for your gun. They can ruin your barrel and hopup and cause jams. As far as them being allowed or not, I don't know, but I would definitely advise against using them.
I object to that statement. I have used 12s in my shotgun 4 months and it works great but since I am soon going to become a sniper I am upgrading to heavys

He's talking about a guns that aren't cheap springers.

^This.

(Though, even if they are cheap springers, the seam on .12gs and the much more common misshapen BBs can still damage hopup buckings and cause jams even if the gun is already pretty crappy.)

It's not idiocy, that was a very valid question. It was such a good question, in fact, that I added it to my tech tips. Besides, if you hadn't posted that, no one else would know your texts prompted this ;P.
