M4 Double Feeding

Post by [insert username] » Mon Aug 08, 2016 9:20 pm

Hey y'all, my front wired AGM M4 has recently been double feeding. The spring on top of hop up is slightly bent, but I don't believe that would cause it to double feed. It seems to stop when I fire rapidly on semi, I'm not sure what it does on full auto.

The best thing I would suggest doing and to try and find someone who has the same type of gun and ask them or just contact a Airsoft tech in the area. But I do agree that I don't think it is your spring above the hop up because I doubt it would affect the feeding if it is for the hop up unit.

Are you saying it's shooting twice on one trigger pull, or firing two BBs on one shot? If it's firing twice on each pull of the trigger your cutoff lever could be worn. If it's feeding two BBs on each cycle of the gearbox then you are looking more towards a tappet plate/air nozzle movement issue.
