Yes, that rifle is mine. All mine. Actually, Steevo did help a lot, so I guess it's 10% his.

Aside from the giant storage compartment, do you feel that the Troy stock really offers much over a generic crane stock? I like the sling mount on the top, but I always end up using receiver/buffer tube mounted sling plates in airsoft and real steel.

Nice build, by the way.

I'm aware of the backwards-ness of that mount. :P It has zero cant to it, so the direction doesn't make any difference with the zero. I prefer to have the left side of my rifle as smooth as possible since it tends to be the side that goes around a corner/tree, so I put the QD arm on the opposite side.

Full pic in a bit.

Crappy picture (dead batteries in my actual camera... using phone instead)

Image

Base gun: G&G GR16-A2
- VFC Crane stock and buffer tube
- Tactical ranger band thingy
- Secret squirrel operator map
DBoys 416 pistol grip
Tokyo Marui KAC rear BUIS
Dytac Aimpoint T1 and 1/3 cowitness mount
G&P (I think...) URX rail
VFC M4 outer barrel
Noveske gas block (no gas tube, had to install it backwards to fit in front of the rail... oops!)
Ancient AFG
Prometheus (?) rebar cutter brake
Gear Sector handstop sling mount (only using it as a sling mount at the moment)
450lm flashlight of secret manufacture

Internals:
SHS full metal tooth piston (overkill, but I took this gun to Operation Red Storm and did not want a stripped piston to be a possible failure)
JG gears (killed the G&G gears FAST)
Highspeed motor (forgot the brand)
Firefly buffer clone, flat hop bucking
11.1v 20c buffer tube lipo

Looks good. I don't know of any gas block (other than KAC) that fits under the URX..which explains why the VLTOR one won't work without milling out underneath the rail.

I'm liking the rifle but that ACOG is huge.

I bought this VFC M4 with the intention of painting it, but now I don't know... It just looks too good as it is.
