That gun is two inches taller than my wife.

Outer barrels shouldn't make contact with the BB, and other than possible minor changes to the FPS they should do just about nothing except look good, or in this case, bad. Also, they can get in the way. There's a reason why we have been trying to make firearms shorter while still maintaining range and accuracy for more than four hundred years, it's simply more practical to carry a shorter weapon.

Glad to hear you were kidding. Watch out though, now Luke is going to battle you for longest gun.

yeah, he can have that title. i honestly was having difficulty with its length back at airfarm. now, it would be almost impossible to use. i will keep the bipod on it though. its a little wobbly, but it will do the trick. i'l probably remove the front peice for my newly moded m4 and put that with the "amplifier" on the end. (its in the second picture.

Here is my Echo 1 ER-25K, I figure it goes in here.

It has a number of upgrades:
Echo 1 Torque Up Motor
Madbull 509mm 6.03 tight bore
Madbull PX-02 Piston
Modify Aluminum Ported Piston Head
Prometheus Hop Up Bucking ( Hard Type )
Shimmed to the Pinion
Madbull M140 Irregular Pitch Spring
- There is a ported cylinder in this rifle for a reason.
Matrix 3-9x50 Illuminated Reticle Sniper Scope
Last but not least: Manly Mustache

With all of the mods it is consistently shooting 376 - 382 w/.30g at 15rps on a 9.6 NiMH

Is that real wood I see? Very sexy, except for all that superfluous RIS up front of course.

Yes, real wood indeed. Refinished and everything. And let's be honest, that RIS is better than anything else I could have there.

Methinks heat shield may look better, but then, I have never been one for lots of spiffy RIS. Maybe I am a stick in the mud.

CA M14: good DMR platform? And thing I should know about the CA version of the m14?

If you are going to make an M14 DMR, make it out of a CA or a G&G. I'll see if I can find that review I used to reference that has a complete list of parts compatibility, but until then suffice it to say that it uses all kinds of fun, non-M14 specific parts that true V7s do not.

But is the CA version specifically a good DMR platform? Are parts more expensive?

Yes. No, they are by and large less expensive and much easier to find than in a true V7 like TM and TM clones.

Okay. It would be much appreciated of you found that parts list.

If CA's are a true G&G clone, then the parts list will look something like this:

V3 Spring guide
G&G M14 Cylinder head
AUG/Long AK length air nozzle
G&G M14 Tappet plate
AUG hop up chamber
V2/3 gears
Short motor
G&G M14 cut off lever
Standard spring, piston, piston head, and cylinder
Standard cut barrel (obviously to work with the AUG hop up unit)
The ARL is G&G M14 specific.

And that should just about cover it.
