Buy once Crye once. Or LBT, or Eagle, or HSGI, or Mayflower, ect. All of these are better designed and made then the first spear Strandhogg, I take it you were referring too. Firstspear tried to innovate something different and better and did not succeed. Their 6/12 mounting system is more complicated than PALS, weighs the same and is a lot less durable, not to mention the entire rig is less durable than that of other Tier 1 gear manufactures.

First Spear makes some quality gear but not the best. Crye CPC is still hands down the best PC on the market IMHO and will be my next purchase.

TL:DR
STFU about last year crap, let people use what they want, don't hate on them for it (or make snide remarks) and mention a better gear manufacture next time ;)

Now let that haterade flow.

EDIT----------------

Figured I would throw in my outdated Crye

Its changed a little since this pic but the general gist is still the same.

Now that I got that out of the way.

TYR makes some good pouches, but I find their Pico series of Plate carries to be lacking for me. The Pico was originally designed to be similar to the JPC, a minimalist PC, but stuff got changed and that was thrown out the window. The final design of the Pico is what is is now, a full size PC that is more expensive than the 6094, or MMAC(its main competitors). It's also not as comfortable as a Crye AVS which cost basically the same as the Pico and has more scalability. Nevertheless they are good rigs made by a reputable company and have their upsides, although they are a bit overpriced for what you get IMHO.

I believe you have their Slick right? If so what convinced you to get that over say a LBT, eagle, PIG Systema, or even a First spear? All of these are around $100 cheaper than the TYR and some even have the option to carry side plates if the need be unlike the TYR? Personally I prefer the LBT, as it is the most proven and solid of the slicks IMHO.

Oddly enough the only reason I own a TYR carrier (BPC to be specific) is because I found one for a song while looking for a LBT 6142A. For all intents and purposes it is the same as a JPC minus the cummerbund. I ran a TMC JPC for a couple of years but was never able to really get used to the quasi-cummerbund webbing. It seemed pretty much the same as the cummerbund on real JPCs I handled so I never upgraded.

Nutshell: BPC is nice and all, but I only run it because I got a good deal on it. $150 for a Source bladder, LBT 6142A, and BPC (All brand new) is hard to argue with. I have never been happier with a loadout than I was with a plain old Eagle chest rig and a hydration backpack, so I'm sure I will end up back with the basics at some point. I have a couple of nice designs drawn; I just need to get around to ordering some cordura and get them sewn up.

Hate on it all you want, its served its purpose well enough for a few years now. I do believe it is a matrix preload vest, unsure of what model. Probably around $50-$80 like all of the other ones.
Red circles represents holes in the vest.
Red dots are broken buckles for the pouch.
All of the holes/broken buckles are from Dom's P* M16.
Still waiting on the "Dominium Approved" sticker/patch.
