The Deep Scar OP series continues in this full-bore two day event! Camping in cabins or tents, you are invited to spend the night at the Saluda Battlegrounds; Friday November 20th and of course Saturday the 21st... when the night game will rage through the darkness!
This event will include two full days of airsoft including a night game! Cabins are available both Friday & Saturday nights.
To prepare, there are a number of things you should consider.
1. Rain or shine we game! Put wet weather gear on your event check-list
2. Mid November could be cold. Bring thermals for sleeping & playing
3. Camping Saturday night is highly recommended as all day Sunday is part of the event, not to mention the *night game*! Make sure your tent is in good order or sign up for a heated cabin, with showers... only $10 a person/night.
4. Two and a half days of gaming!!! Check your guns & gear, stock up on BBs from your favorite vendors, and hit the gym.
5. Put $25 under your pillow. That is the fee for this 2 1/2 day extravaganza.
6. Flashlights, BB tracer units and lots of new toys for the night games! If you use NV, be sure to protect the optics!
7. Keep watch of this announcement thread for what great raffle prizes we will be giving away.. for FREE!
FAQ:
Q: I did not attend the previous events, will this one work for me?
A: *HOT* yes. This is SC airsoft at it's best. Beautiful land, great players, and a whole weekend of bang, bang!
Q: I can only come for 1 day of gaming, how much is the event fee?
A: OP: Deep Scar IV is $25 per player. Regardless of how much you can play. This fee covers 8 hours on Saturday, 6 hours on Sunday *and* the 3 hour night game!
Q: When will raffle prizes be given out?
A: At the 2pm break on Saturday. So you lucky winners can use your new guns right away!
Q: How do I get a reserved spot in a cabin?
A: For $10 you can get into a large communal cabin, complete with power to charge your batteries + showers, bathrooms, and heat! A separate forum thread exists to sign up. Be sure to have your whole crew register if you would all like to be together. Please note the accommodations are communal, there is some privacy. However the cabins are NOT co-ed.
*Teams can sign up for the same cabin, but there are no 'private' cabins.
Q: Will there be charging stations for my batteries?
A: No. Be sure to bring your own battery charger. A power strip might be a smart idea as well.
Q: What about security?
A: Be sure to keep valuables and delicate gear/possession locked in your car during games and when you are not there to personally guard them.
Q: What ages are welcome?
A: Saluda allows players 12+ to attend. From 12-14years of age, however, the player MUST have a parent playing with them the entire time.
Q: What about food, I will need energy to kill for 20 hours of gaming!
A: The Saluda field will be offering meals. Hotdogs for the Saturday lunch at 1:30pm. Hamburgers for the 6pm Saturday dinner, and a Sunday morning breakfast from 7am-9am. There will be a well priced meal ticket if you want a group-meal deal!
ADDRESS:
180 Youth Camp Road
Honea Path, SC 29654
Field RULES :
1. If you are over 18 years of age, you may choose your style of glasses/goggles and if you wear a mouth guard.
2. If you are under 18 years of age you need to wear a fully sealed set of goggles which has a build in plastic cheek shield, or a set of fully sealed goggles and a mouth guard + shemagh. No exceptions. Mesh or plastic goggles , your choice! Smiley
3. All guns and pistols must be unloaded in public areas (parking, cabins, gym). No magazines in your aeg, pistol, or m203! No dry firing, test firing, or pointing at players in these staging areas.
4. Firing your AEG, chronoing, and testing out a gun you are borrowing or buying can only be done in a specific, designated firing area.
5. Anyone under 14 years of age who wants to play has to have a parent playing with them at all times, not on a separate team. No exceptions.
6. If you are wearing a shemagh it must match your camo type. IE: a green shemagh if alpha, a tan, black, red, blue one if Bravo.
7. Last but not least, the owner of the field is a fair person, but does not want his business jeopardized by players breaking these rules. Therefore, the SCAA will be very serious about all this.
Game information
Players will be divided with standard SCAA team division, based on camo colors. Vests must match BDU, uniform colors. IE: no black vest with a green (Alpha) load-out.
Each player is responsible for bringing their own water, eye protection (full seal!), sun block, sports cup and other safety measures.
An in-depth player pack TBA!
Listen now... for the drums or war grow LOUDER!

I'll plan on making this one, but I only have one real complaint, and that the Deep SCAR series has always been held at Saluda Why not Wellford or RSR?
What up?
