It's not dead, right now we're working on scenarios and fields. I've already reserved a date @ Blue Hole in the fall when it isn't hot as barrs.

I think the Support gunner fun should be filled by people who are known for running one as a main weapon before it is filled by people who just dont want to use mid caps. I love realmil and it will be a great thing to expand too.

Well, realistically anyone who goes through the trouble of buying one and then carrying it around all day.

They just don't understand what its like to have it in your hands all day at a field like TT or CDWC with the entire field being a hill.

I feel bad for people who want to buy a heavy weapon then realize it stinks to carry it.

Rev, not all support weapons are that heavy. My RPK isn't that bad at all. The other thing is the real mils are very different from ordinary games, so one faction may be defending an area, such as a HQ facility. In this case the support gunner would be used in a defensive position and wouldn't require you carrying it all over the field. Also, I don't really think someone is going to buy a support weapon just because they don't want to use midcaps. That seems pretty far fetched to me.

lets be honest here...if you had the money to buy a support gun, you could instead have the most balla collection of midcaps ever! lol

I helped admin a realmil this weekend. I have to say the admins were running around like crazy. 2 villages, 1 faction of government forces, and 1 set of Special Ops forces and everyone thinking they are getting screwed over and paranoid ending with an epic gun battle makes for a great real mil. Be advised though, this game was 28 hours and plenty of time sitting around doing nothing. This real mil has the most firefights that I have seen at one, but they were well coordinated and carried out.

It does seem like the more we move towards milsim there is a larger need for more admins to be at each game. As well wouldn't it be cool if at milsim games we would have to go to supply tents to get more ammo and gas and such?

IS this idea still in the works? I've always wanted to milsim instead of participating in a paintsoft marraca band :P

The games won't be nearly as often as every 2nd week, but there is some work going in to a fall game for Blue Hole once its cooled off.

Yeah, like once a month would be great though.
