DW Is Joining the Navy

Hey guys.

I'm not sure when (if at all) I'll get to play airsoft again. I just graduated from high school and I'm proud to say that I've received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. I'll be up there to start plebe summer on June, 27th--my eighteenth birthday. Unfortunately, I won't be able to just leave for a weekend to come up to SC like I can now. I won't have too much of time off at all: I think I get Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break and a summer that's only 33% as long as everyone else's. I'm sure this will be the most challenging thing I've ever done, but It'll also be a lot of fun. I might come down to a game at some point and maybe even bring a few midshipmen with me, albeit I'm sure I'll have a bunch of other stuff I'll also want to do during my short respites of freedom. Haha.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I've had a lot of fun playing with you guys the past four years. I'm sure a few of you who knew me back when I was fourteen feel old now.

Congratulations! I know getting in to the Naval Academy isn't easy, our co at njrotc didn't get in and she had a 4.7 gpa. Well good luck from everything I've seen it doesn't look easy as you said. My ultimate goal is to get into West Point so if you have any suggestions to how to get in they would be appreciated.

The first few times I played with you, back when you were 14, I remember thinking you were pretty mature and very cognizant for your age. Those are the kind of people I like to have protecting my freedom. Thanks, congrats, and good luck to you!
