Yep, the SD33 N/A was in the old Scouts. My grandfather had one years ago. The previous owner reported that this setup got about 25MPG, but it is a pretty heavy truck (somewhere around 2.5 tons). I'll be hanging around the SWC campsite, so I'll be easy to find. I remember your truck, so you'll be easy to find aswell. :)

New bearings for the crankshaft have arrived; pulling the crankshaft out before XMas (hopefully). Turn it down, put the motor back in the frame, and off we go!

Todo:

Motor:
- Clean injectors
- New glow-plugs (maybe)
- Retime
- New transmission fluid circulation lines
- New air filter assembly
- 3" straight pipes

Interior:
- Soundproofing under the rubber floormat
- Restore the Air Force stickers and ID plate on the dash
- Reupholster seats in coyote brown cordura
- New door panels
- Remove cloth headliner and replace with bedliner
- Add dome light
- Head unit + speakers

Exterior:
- OD paint
- Powder coat wheels in black
- Flat black bumpers, door handles, hood latches, etc
- Black bedliner on hardtop
- New tailgate with CJ7 style "JEEP" lettering.

I found two more of these Jeeps on Craigslist the other day. Since my motor rebuild project keeps hitting snags I bought these to use as donor vehicles. They both run fine, so I will pull whichever of the two motors is best and put it in my pickup. If I swipe a crane from work that should only take an evening or two!

#2 - Runs like a top; perfect donor vehicle for the pickup. Once I get my SD33T back in the original truck I hope to turn this into another pickup for my dad.

#3 - Also runs, but not quite like a top. Mostly good for parts.

MOSFETs are on hold right now. Too much going on to devote time to them.

Spent a few hours stripping the motor compartment to make it easier to pull the motor. All that is left is the wiring harness and various tubes and hoses.

Spent about 8 hours on the Jeeps today. I pulled a motor out of one of the newer Jeeps and mounted it in the pickup.

If everything checks out as I sort through belts, hoses, brake lines, radiators, and exhaust then it shouldn't be too far from running.
