Re: Oh Snap!
If we want to shed light on it, she was the first to start with the insults about my mother. This is in regards to when we clashed 2 years ago. She made similar comments about how I was brought up badly last year after she had Putnam tell me to move some of their broken guns to BattleCat, at which...

Re: Army Pictures
Splat's right on that one. Think of the WORST insult you can imagine. Now, multiply the 'burn' factor by about ten thousand. This fabled 'super insult' was commonplace in nonchalant cadence calling during my AIT.

Re: Gabe's Painting Tips
It's airbrush, but I don't know the brand. Whatever they have up at Airsoft Carolina is the one I used.

Re: Your Dream Weapon
That, gentlemen, is the Omnicol XA-23 (or something like that). It's been around about as long as I've been playing airsoft. It was a custom project made by some genius flecktarn addict. He took a Fa-Mas, G36, and P90 and a TON of clay and plasticard material to build something he said was inspir...

Re: Gabe's Painting Tips
Not sure what level of realism or practicality you were going for, but a flip-down front sight is pretty inexpensive and easy enough to install. It certainly beats having to pop out the pins and flip the sight back over, especially if you were currently engaged when your main optic went down. All i...

Re: Snow? In the South?
Sounds like a polar bear club. Those are the guys who jump into frozen lakes and such while wearing nothing but their skivvies. Sounds like a great way to get hypothermia, but it's certainly fun. I jumped into the Atlantic ocean in December about 4-5 years ago. It was so cold it felt like someon...

Re: Before airsoft
Before I played: Video games, and a lot of them. It's still somewhat of a passion of mine. I try to see every game for what it is, what it could be, the funny things about them, the realism (of the ones that intend on it), but my favorites are the really weird ones that never make it into bigtime ...

Re: Battlefield BC2
I'm probably going to DL it since I'm snowed in with nothing better to do, but can anyone tell me if 1 out of every 5 kills made by the AI is done with the defibrillator (or shock paddle as they like to call it) like in the PC BF2? I always lol'd at that. EDIT: Played about 20 minutes and deleted i...

Re: Oh Snap!
You know, Laurie and I clashed a few times last year right before I left for BCT. She said if SCAA stopped having games there it was only going to hurt us because she would still make money off of that property. I had assumed she meant church groups and stuff coming and renting the guns, etc but n...

Re: Snow? In the South?
In the Anderson area there's a good bit of it outside, although right now (approx 3 AM) it's not snowing. It's hard to say exactly how much there is but my best guess would be about 3 inches. I'd say the worst part is that our heat pump died on us last week, and with the construction on the house ...

Re: Gabe's Painting Tips
Cool, glad everyone likes it! I'll be sure to try and write more stuff like this. It mostly depends on what people want to see, as well as what I comfortably know a LOT about. I'd rather produce a few quality guides and how-to's than a lot of bad ones.

Re: Your Dream Weapon
I hope I don't come off as a douche when I say this, but I don't dream about having guns, I just build them, lol. The amount of time between "Hey, that's nice, I want one." to "Man, I have a badass gun here" is pretty minimal

Gabe's Painting Tips
EDIT: Original post was part of a longer discussion. Bits of this post have been modified to fit the bill for the 'first post' of a topic. Painting your guns isn't that hard, but it's not hard to royally screw up either. Hopefully the guide below will help the unsure airsofter with a painting proj...

Re: How long will a Li-Poly battery last?
If you stay on semi, that could very well last you all day. I ran a 2200mAh 20C lipo on the Thompson with a Systema M120 at a Newberry game all day on auto with no issues. In physics, it is generally easier to make an object in motion STAY in motion than it is to move an object from a standstill. ...
