Re: Latest Acquisition
Not really a latest acquisition, but I got bored and started swapping parts around. Rebuilt an OLD gun (been in service since before Op Kudzu in 07) and got to messing with my custom GWS Sig 556. Hoping to take this PTW MagPul PTS stock and fit it to the really weird mounting hardware. It looks like...

Re: Buying tac gear
Why use modern MOLLE vs LBV and such? Better design, versatility and the attempt to look like the real thing. The LBV's and LCE's are complete crap. You WILL lose magazines using those M16 pouches that hold 3. Also you are limited to the placement of mag pouches and any other pouch along the plane ...

Re: Starting a DMR
I feel like what buttontk posted is a bit extreme, after all we are shooting a spherical bb. QFT. There is such thing as over-thinking or over-engineering, but some of that was very good information. Basement mods can produce incredible results from simple (often not even airsoft related) component...

Re: Do you live in the Greenville/Spartanburg Area
1.Spartanburg. Starting AT early May and then an activation in July, but SHOULD still be around the area.
2.Fairly often. Depends on game types, price, etc. Haven't played in so long I would go for anything.
3.Military duties, nagging girlfriend, constantly working on my car

Re: Proper Matienece
I wouldn't mind doing a full Sunday afternoon/evening class sometime, everyone could bring their gun (preferably as many different kinds as possible) and some basic tools. I could set up some tables and chairs in my living room and kitchen, and we could go gun by gun, how to disassemble it down to ...

Re: Removing Anti Reversal Latch (for good)/ Dual Sector Gea
After reading through the thread I noticed that nobody cautioned you about ROF that high. It's doable, but when it goes too high it can render the gun pretty much useless. At a meet and greet 3 or so years ago at Robin's house, he ran a Systema CMB (m100 or 110, can't remember) with a Systema Turbo ...

Re: Tokyo Marui KAC SR-16 Stoner Rifle (UPDATED)
TM SR-16's come standard with an ABS receiver, not metal. The RIS, barrel, sights, etc are metal, but not the receiver. That aside, I may be interested if you can track down the details on the upgrades (what parts and what manufacturer) as well as who installed them.

Re: Your wheels
Just so you know, if you get rear-ended with nightshade on your tail lights, it's your fault. I had mine lightly dusted but I decided to replace them after getting a generous warning last week. Do it at your own risk man, I don't wanna see that nice ride with a dent at the next game.

Re: Plate carrier vs. Molle vest vs Battle Belt
For the simplest rig go for the belt. If you're using it as the primary load, get some suspenders so it doesn't fall off. You can add a chest rig to it later, or even a PC at the cost of a bit of mobility. With the PC on you'll need to move the belt down a bit, so you'll find leaning is a bit mor...

Re: Dust plate won't fully close on M4
You could also get a metal dummy bolt and a magnet to hold it shut. That's how CA used to do it. I can't comment on their newer guns, but that's how they used to do it. This fix wouldn't require reversing the spring, but honestly just holding the thing open while you adjust hop is just as easy.

Re: KWA m4 shooting
Separate the upper receiver from the lower. Gently apply force to the hopup (away from the business end obviously) until it pops out. Sometimes the first time you pull a hop unit out, it's stubborn.

Re: JG G3. No power.
^The prior would result in a faint sound of the motor attempting to cycle, since there is no sound, at some point power is simply not reaching the motor. Normally I would say that there are several things this could be, because there are. However, in this particular case I can reference two or thre...

Re: G36 Hopup help?
Just an oldschool-as-heck mod to do if you're running high FPS. I did this to a Systema M4 hopup and got much more consistent hop, a problem that tends to reappear more with higher FPS (as many problems do)-- Take a 2mm O-ring (from just about anywhere, hardware stores, walmart, etc) and cut out a ...

Re: Latest Acquisition
I run a Pantac RRV (front bib with abdomen molle, just H or X straps in back) with a Pantac MBSS pack for the back. They lace together easily without limiting your movement at all. It's a solid setup. Also, Steevo, good choice on the SPR, the Mod 0 is sexy. That's what my M4 PTW was running, but ...
