Youre right, i havent. And until i do, i'll carry on thinking 2011 grips feel like 2x4's.

It does depend a lot on the frame. Some 2011 style lowers have really thick grips/magwells, meaning they do feel like a 2x4 in your hand. A lot of the slimmer frames with rounded edges really avoid that oversized feel.
