Orange Tips
At home I leave my orange flash hider on my gun, but if I am am in a war/game/match do I have to have it on my gun? I dont want to be sniping with an orange tip sticking out of a bush.

Re: Orange Tips
You don't need the orange tip on there at all. I would suggest replacing it, or at least painting it. If you decide to paint it, be sure to keep any overspray out of your barrel.
Re: Orange Tips
Just take it off and sand it down then paint it. Just make sure to never point the gun at a cop.
Re: Orange Tips
There is one reason and one reason only for the orange tip: to comply with federal interstate commerce law when selling a replica firearm across state lines. Unless an airsoft gun is literally crossing a state line for the purpose of being sold in a different state at that very moment, it does not need to be on there. Most airsoft retailers state incorrectly on their websites that you can never remove it, that is baloney. When you buy an airsoft gun you can take it off and never put it back on.

Re: Orange Tips
Just keep it in a bag when transporting it when the tip is off.
You really should have a bag for it even if you leave the tip orange.

Re: Orange Tips
Alright, cool. I left my flashider orange when I painted my M4's barrel and reciever because of this, but now I can get rid of the glowing orange:)
I do not always accidentally, but when I do, I accidentally the whole thing.

Re: Orange Tips
Esteban is right. Get a decent bag to transport the gun in and it will save you a lot of grief. I had a S.C. Highway Patrol officer freak out when he saw my M-249 in the back of my truck coming back from a game in N.C. Now I have a bag to shove "Black Betty" in.

Also, don't ever keep a replica firearm within arms reach when driving, that can get a real gun pointed at you pretty quickly.

I only point orange tipped guns at coppers.
