holsters
what are y'alls thoughts on holsters? im tired of running out of my drop leg and it seems like the scene is getting away from soft holsters. I was looking at the Blackhawk SERPA platform, basically the parts below. your thoughts?

i run an m9 and a 1911, sometimes dual, so ed to be able to swap... basically sick of losing pistol mags while running.

Re: holsters
Serpas are nice, and if you want to mount on your vest then do so.
I would not put a pistol mag down on a drop leg, i lost them too that way. However my .45 sits perfect on the platform. If your loosing mags that are not in the gun, then you need to put them on your vest. If the mags in the gun then you better fix that mag well.

Re: holsters
Blackhawk does not have a m9a1 serpa holster. M9A1 has a rail on the trigger assy and the only way to have a blackhawk is to mill the rail off or pay for the light bearing setup. The light is 200 and the holster is 40. Not sure on 1911 though. I have none to worry about!
Re: holsters
I use the Blackhawk drop-leg platform with a serpa and I really like it. It's great quality. I also have the Blackhawk drop-leg magazine pouch for my other leg. Creates a cool look.
I also wear it on my hip for real steel pistol tournaments and enjoy it there. Like Felix said, you can look into mounting the serpa to your vest

Re: holsters
Oh I completely agree. I have the quick connects on all three of my holsters, that match up to drop leg, molle mounts on my belt and vest. And they all fit my real m9, glock as well as my kwa ATP and kjw m9a1. But with the m9 I have the xiphos light setup for both real and "toy"!

Re: holsters
Getting ready to order my serpa for my TM hi capa. Apparently there is one that fits it that is designed for "1911 and clones" and is for one with a Xiphos NT light that fits a Hi Capa.

Re: holsters
Just to let you know, it is left hand or right hand setup for the light. The right will not work in a left hand holster.

Yes! You are cool kid. I just use what works for me. Not what looks good for my buddies. Haha. Much loves!
Safariland and Gcode make nice setups as well. But I like my blackhawk.
