Problems with jg g36c

Post by jakger » Sat Sep 29, 2012 1:48 pm

I just got a 7.4.v lipo for this gun and was shooting it today and it was acting up. Like a few times it would shoot 2 rounds on semi without me pulling to trigger a second time. Sometimes on full auto it would stop firing then i pulled the trigger again and it acted like it was on staririods . HELP

I dont think it is a hop up issue. my mp5 does the same thing on a lipo. It is almost like the motor overspins and pushes past the little selector arm inside the gearbox. I havent thought to much about fixing mine so I dont have a fix for it. Maybe star folder or dom can chime in?

While it does sound like it is cycling a bit past the cutoff lever (that's the part that engages the sector gear in semi auto jumpgunner was referencing), remember that the fact that he has a LiPo has nothing to do with the amount of power it is giving to the motor. LiPos are not inherently more or less powerful than NiMHs or NiCads. He is using a 7.4v, which (assuming it does not have an extremely high C rating) should not be providing so much power to the motor that it is forcing itself past the cutoff lever. I find it much more likely that your cutoff lever is either worn down or covered in lube (or both). Since the 8.4v 1100mah NiMH that I assume you used to use was extremely weak, this issue may not have presented itself earlier. As far as the second issue you mentioned, I am not exactly sure what you mean by it. More details and a precise description would help.

i would agree with DOM. i use lipos in my G36's and i haven't had them do that because of a lipo

Loose connectors or partially burned out trigger contacts are probably the culprit. Tighten the small Tamiya connects I assume you are using, look inside the male one and you will see the metal contacts, squeeze them together with pliers or teeth.
