Just picked up a G&G FS-51 for CQB purposes. Going to keep it stock internally now until something changes my mind. It SHOULD be at 330 FPS, but I'm checking this weekend with a chrono.

External modifications will include magpuls on the 7.62 mags, buttstock pouch, removal of rear sling mount, and removal of orange tip.

Got a Systema Energy M120 gearbox, but I have several problems installing it into my Echo 1 G3. The selector plate isn't the same, the motor I have has too fat of a pinion gear, the hopup unit doesn't fit,  the air nozzle may be too long, and my grip holes need to be widened. So failures all 'round.

Yeah, it was a big disappointment. I am considering what to do with it. I'm wondering if it would fit in a Classic Army G3 with the Systema Energy motor.

I cant be 100% sure but my Systema gearbox WOULD NOT work in my Classic Army M4 I had. Problem was with the air nozzle not lining up with the hop up unit.

I had a TM G3 with a after market classic army body on it with a systema drop in and it fit no problem in mine, so it probably will... but i also had the stock Tm hop up and systema gearbox are made for TMs

I put a Systema drop in (the G3 one) in both a JG and a TM G3, and though I had to force the hopup chamber into the GB, they both worked fine. I then transferred it to a G&G M16 (switching the trigger and selector plate of course) and it worked fine. Granted, this was not an Energy one, but rather the Systema M150 drop in, however due to Systema's specs I would think the fit would be almost identical.

No pics just yet, but I just acquired a Classic Army Mk12 Mod0, Pantac battle belt + harness, Pantac Stealth Dump pouch, and other various goodies.

Is this going to be a SPR/DMR project?

Aside from adding a tightbore, it's already ready to go around 600FPS.

Are the battle belts good choices? I am thinking of getting a battlebet and a condor modular chest rig (front only of course) over a plate carrier. The only problem i see is a hydration carrier and how that will work.

If you get a MOLLE harness for the belt, you could mount a small hydration pack on the back. As it stands I'm using a 1.75l hydration pouch on the belt itself. It's about as wide as 2 M4 mag pouches.

Example of the MOLLE harness/suspenders:

I run a Pantac RRV (front bib with abdomen molle, just H or X straps in back) with a Pantac MBSS pack for the back.  They lace together easily without limiting your movement at all.  It's a solid setup.

Also, Steevo, good choice on the SPR, the Mod 0 is sexy.  That's what my M4 PTW was running, but I switched to a CASV to reduce on the front-heaviness.

I've tried a bunch of different setups and I use the RRV with hydro backpack combo that Gabe is talking about and I love it.  Not too hot and I can carry as much as I need.
