The best thing is to ask it here: http://ncairsoft.org/forum/showthread.p ... -questions

Realtree, like most hunting camo patterns (including Advantage Timber and Treebark), is considered "brown" in NC, i.e. Bravo or Warsaw Pact for this one, per NCAO representatives.
That said, you'd be better served with a more recognizable, military pattern, unless you plan to sit in a stand all day waiting for that one shot at an 8-point player. ;) Ambiguous, uncommon (in airsoft) patterns also tend to get you shot by both sides, which in this case will be 500+ players.
For this reason even I (a stickler for authenticity) am not wearing actual East German Strichtarn for this "historical" event, as it is too close to the line between what is "green" and what is "brown".

Right savoy6, because I'm not another fanboy toting multicam and the newest "gucci" gear to complete my milsim "loadout," and actually use what will get the job done from personal experience as opposed to what looks cool.

Fallout11, I appreciate your informative reply and will definitely consider bringing a different set of camo to this game for Warsaw.

People wear Multicam, because it is by far the best "tan" camo. Much better than running around the woods in DCU's or desert MARPAT.
You name a game, I've been to it.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

HEY! I resemble that remark Gam... and I've gotten up close and personal safety kills wearing DESPAT in the woods before...

It has been my experience that I cannot readily tell MC and DCU apart at normal airsoft ranges (i.e. >100 feet) in mixed foliage, as I discovered at OP: Kudzu 1 (they were two different teams) many years ago. But I'm getting old.

Marley, many years ago I used to wear Advantage Timber myself, found it to be effective and reasonably priced. Unfortunately it tended to fade badly when laundered. None the less, there were players at Fulda last year in various civilian hunting patterns, and it was always popular in scenario pball.

Anyway, the issue at Fulda Gap is less one of the need for concealment than of easy IFF, with that many players on the field it is simply the top priority of the two. Opportunities for a good hide and ambush are modestly rare, rather, you will find yourself in almost continual frictional contact with the enemy "line", often with multiple opponents simultaneously. This event is the closest you will find to actual platoon-level action in airsoft in the southeast US. Under these circumstances, being readily identifiable to the 250+ players who are your allies is of greater value than hiding from the handful of enemy who are in range and who haven't already seen you, your unit, or your nearby mates. In short, concealment on a 60 acre field with 500 players on it just isn't as important as it would be normally.
Tan Dickies are also an inexpensive and easily obtained choice worth considering.
Just my 2 cents worth.

The difference for me is I can actually see DCU easily in the woods. I've been with a teammate who had MC on and was running point and I had a hard time spotting him from 40 ft away. DCU's aren't even close to being on par with MC in the woods.

i am too big for any camo to work!

posting this for our glorious soviet general:

OK, Airsofters...we need some SERIOUS Recruiting efforts to take place in just 7 DAYS for the Warsaw Pact forces at Fulda Gap. We are behind NATO in players, and prices begin to go up starting October 2nd. SO, get that paycheck this week, put up $30 bucks online, and join CO/ Marine/Wounded Warrior Vince "Salty" Gizzarelli and Yours Truly for the best event on the East Coast, if not in AMERICA!!!
