UT, the SMGs of the Waffen and VC were even.. there wasn't an advantage in that area.

Three "branches" of SS:

Allgemeine-SS - (general/police)
Waffen-SS - (military)
SS-Totenkopfverbände - (concentration camps)

The Waffen SS was the branch used in the episode...

Keep in mind that there are many different Waffen SS divisions ranging from infanterie to fallschirmjager units.

Pretty much all of these SS (Waffen) units kicked serious butt, however, like regular Wehrmacht units, the panzer corps (namely the 2nd SS Panzer Corps) were the most effective/kickass units.

I didn't watch the whole episode, but the part I did watch had so many inaccuracies that I was forced to see an anger management therapist.  Elite SS units using MP28's?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!  :o  Seriously?  No.  Kar98k's, G43's, MP40's, and MP44's(late war) were used in military units.  MP28's were used, but mainly for policing the Ghettos in Warsaw.  As for Pistol's...the Mauser C96? Somewhat correct... These were primarily used by the Luftwaffe, however SS(waffen) officers were know to use them.  P38's on the other hand were the standard issue and would have been more appropriate for the show.

Long story short: This show is a load of BS no matter who they are comparing.

Sorry for the rant, it's now time for bed.

they have to dig for original material...if anything its interesting to watch for the effects and the weapons. al capone should have wiped jesse james off the friggin map. i also find it interesting where they find the "experts"....but its good mind numbing tv and soon to be video game. plus who can complain about poop-on-a-stick as a legit weapon....??

the game is only for XBL Chef... and the first season...

Yeah, I can agree with Nick, but you can't really compare the AK47 with the MP44 IMO, although MP44s were still in use until the 1980s (mainly Yugoslavia), and the fact they already did the AK47 and the AK74 in the first season... But I loved how they kept showing a PPSh41 when talking about the MP28 though.

Are you sure it was a PPSh-41?  It and the MP28 look very similar except for the mag placement, as the MP28 has the mag sticking out the left side of the gun like the Britsh sten gun.  Then again, both the Germans and VC used captured/surplus PPSh-41's.

they had both on the set, but in the "trials and battles" it was the mp28...

Yeah Chef is right, it's sorta like when they did the IRA vs Spetznaz having a G36 in the pic rather then a G3.. but they were using PPSh-41s when they came back from commericals and talking about the Germans... And I know the bifference bro.. one is a chair gun.. the other is a stick up your but gun :P
