Alright, so I got my letter from the Academy... I'm on the waiting list. This means I will be a midshipman at USC's NROTC.

In 4 years you will probably consider yourself lucky. Either way, after you graduate you are an officer. Would you prefer have fun in college at USC? Or wonder what civilian girls are at Annapolis?Trig wrote: Alright, so I got my letter from the Academy... I'm on the waiting list. This means I will be a midshipman at USC's NROTC.

Re: What do you do?
I'm a software engineer at SRC in N. Charleston working on projects for ************ with knowledge in *****, **** and ****.
Don't do much travel, have a couple laptops and access to a huge technical book library.
I get to explore a lot of ***********************************.
I have 2 offices one at SRC and one on **** where I have to do ******** but thankfully I don't have to do much development work over there because it sucks, time is split 85/15 or so. I also have access to ******* and NIPRNet's.

That's why I'm happy with that letter, because if I was accepted I'm not to sure I would have gone.splatmaster wrote: In 4 years you will probably consider yourself lucky. Re: What do you do?
For those of you wondering, no, none of the Officers or Representatives of the AOSC recieve compensation... sadly . But if we did by the hour, Stephen could quite his other job .SteevoLS wrote: I am an awesome admin and spend my scant amount of free time greatly enriching the airsofting lives of my fellow South Carolinians.
But seriously, I wrote up a pretty complete employment history, but it was lost when the server crashed last week. I'm not going to retype it, so for those of you not in the know, let's just say I do... something, for which I am compensated. Also, I spend my free time doing tech work on airsoft guns of all kinds. The rest of my free time I am EC/Rep/Mod/GC for the AOSC and greatly worsen the airsofting lives of my fellow South Carolinians by doing a truly horrible job .
