Whats happened to the US

So turns out the City of New York and our outstanding government has decided it would be a good idea to build a Muslim mosque right on top of the site of the world trade centers. The government seems to think this is a good way for the Muslim community to apologize to the American people for the event that happened on 9-11. The thing is if you look at muslim history then the building of a mosque in a foreign place where they attacked actually is them stating they conquered said place. Here is a video of a British comedian who is talking about the plans to build the mosque. This is no joke, it is not a publicized thing for reasons I think you know.

My opinion on the matter:

It will never be built. As a New Yorker of sorts (Yankee as some call me) I doubt that any contractor will sign up for this job. It would be committing job suicide. Also, if an Islamic contractor is hired to do the job, I doubt it will get past the scaffolding before being protested into the ground. Possibly quite literally.

Well the thing is no one knows about. It isn't being publicized by the press or anything. If something is going to be done then We as the American people need to get the word out. So start telling people about it by putting it up in public places like your twitter, facebook, myspace, etc...

Thats The proud United States of America we also have a VERY strong Military that is proud of this country and what they fight for. If i was them I'd be pretty pissed.

Yeah there are plenty of guys in the military who are pissed try the General who spoke the truth and got kicked out of the military for it. In the us army you can't voice your opinion, you loose that right when you sign your contract

I heard about this months ago... it's old news. I think it's safe to say that people know about it.

very old news, and technically its not a mosque but a prayer center...dont ask me the difference but the muslim community was very adamant about saying it wasnt a mosque. doubt it will be built

Well I heard about it a month ago and I checked last night to see if they were still going through with it and they are still trying. It doesn't matter whether its a mosque or prayer center the only thing that should be built on the 9-11 site is something like Arlington or the Vietnam wall. In my opinion if they are still trying to go through with it then it is not old news. Personally it ticks me off our government would even think of doing something like this. I think it is disgracing the names of the men and women who died on that day. This just shows that the US people have forgotten something that should never be forgotten.
