This trailer is technically not a trailer. It was put together by Director Kevin Tancharoen (director of Fame), in hopes that Warner Bros. will pick up on it, and fund the production. Mortal Kombat: Rebirth features a gritty, real world approach to the material.  The short stars Michael Jai White, Jeri Ryan, martial artists Lateef Crowder, Ian Anthony Dale and Matt Mullins. While some MK fans say that it is not staying true to the francise, I think that this would be an awesome movie, and I seriously hope that Warner Bros. will come through on it.

Staying true to the franchise of a arcade fighting game is like complaining about the Prince of Persia games/movie not being true to the original platformer.

:D

This is not a movie trailer, but it's a trailer for an awesome looking expansion for what was probably one of the best FPSs of the past couple of years.

To me, it looks like they took the original Goldeneye 007 from the 64 and updated the player model to be Daniel Craig... and run natively on the Wii.

And I'm okay with that.

I don't think it would have worked on any other console other then Wii... Nintendo brought us the original Goldeneye, it was one of the most popular games ever created, and they tried several times to remake that success and failed because it was cross platformed and/or all platforms had their own Bond game. I agree with steevo, Wii is not HD gaming, but if the game play can match the original goldeneye, then the Wii graphics will be fine for it.
