AK OPERATOR'S UNITED

Post by Legend » Sun Sep 02, 2012 10:57 pm

Hey guys this new thread is a group for all who Operate AK's, SVD variants in the battle field. This thread will be used to keep in touch with those guys on the field whom you didn't know that probably used an AK type weapon like yours and just to prove to everyone that Ak rifles are the most well put together and you can never come up to match it with an M4! This is a community type of area so if you are already in a team that is fine, this is just a simple Community for all of you Ak Operators ^_^

Z, a VFC M4 will beat a CM028. But, AKs to me are easier to work on. I love AKs, Task Force 1 now has an abundance of AKs -__-

I own a steel Dboys AK-74 and a CM046 Cyma Blowback

Yeah, probably. I don't know when you're going to hammer it through your head that it's just an AEG, and virtually all AEGs can be upgraded to shoot just like any other.

Slim, saying a RS AK isn't that good is just dumb. They are some of the best shooting stock guns on the market.
You name a game, I've been to it.

If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

As an AK fan, I have done much research on the different models. So, I speak from a book knowledge point of view. VFC, G&G and Real Sword are the outstanding manufacturers of AK replicas. Out of all of them, I would go with Real Sword. Reason being, Real Sword builds their replicas mush closer to real steel measurements than other companies. Having handled a few of them, they are incredibly solid and feel like an AK should, like you can hit him after you shoot his comrades and be just as effective. On performance, they are what you would expect from any $400 AEG. That is, not custom built DMR but better than Jing Gong. However, just because you put an R-Hop in it doesn't mean you have the gun of the gods. I'm sure you're gun shoots great, and probably better than any of mine at this moment, but in the end it's just a gun.

Now when most people build DMRs, they start with something like an A&K M16, a -$200 gun, and upgrade almost everything inside to get perfect air seal, consistency, rate of fire and accuracy. Example, take SteevoLS' DMR, I believe he started with either a Classic Army Sportline or DBoys M4(I can't remember, I'm sure he'll chime in though). Both of these are -$200 guns, and he upgraded and tuned it until it was just what he wanted. I can almost guarantee that -$200 base gun is now shooting a lot better than the $600 Real Sword SVD with an R-Hop. DMRs take work, time, and constant upkeep. I was planning one, and had it mostly finished, but I backed out simply because I didn't want to invest the time and maintenance and having to constantly fix things.

In conclusion to this wall of text that no one will read, having a $600 gun that looks like a DMR doesn't give you a DMR.
I do not always accidentally, but when I do, I accidentally the whole thing.

Lol... My SPR is built off a proline. Bad example, given that it's a $1200 build.

To bad you cant buy real swords any more, buy them while they are still in stock, no more in the US.

Hatch.. posting..?

Yeah guns can be cheap and perform great, but be expensive and shoot poorly. (Think my DMR, and a Barrett)
That sums up one half of the argument.

The point I'm trying to make is that I bet you didn't pay $1200 for the rifle, but have put $1200 into it, correct?

I actually have about $150 in it, but that's not the intended message here. If you add up what I and the original owner put into it, but it gets up above $1200.

Maybe you meant "range" instead of ROF? This does not compute.

Since we're talking about it, I agree that it is annoying that everyone that buys a stock AEG with a scope or bipod calls it a DMR. In airsoft, you shouldn't delineate something as a certain classification unless it performs like it. Your average stock AEG is classified in airsoft as an assault rifle. Throwing a bipod and scope, a longer barrel, or an SPR kit on that same gun (or buying one from a retailer that has already added them) does not make it a Designated Marksman's Rifle... it makes it an assault rifle with bells and whistles. Upgrading and tuning an AEG to perform with well above average range and accuracy (almost always meaning higher FPS and several internal mods, if not an overhaul) makes it a DMR. If SteevoLS removed his scope, bipod, and SPR kit and his DMR looked like your average out of the box AR, it would still be a DMR by virtue of it's excellent range and accuracy.
