Oh, I can use it here, 100% field legal too. Free hugs for anyone who guesses correctly on how I plan to use it.TokenTech89 wrote:Where on earth can you even use that spring to play?!?!?!?

Re: Latest Acquisition
Very close, so I'll give it to you, lol. I told myself that anyone who said DSG would "win." My FN2000 has one, and currently has an M160. I recently made a purchase of some buckings, and they had these things for $5, so I just figured, why not! The M160 chronoed at 345 with .2s, so about 310-320 with .25s. I'm hoping the M190 will push me right up to the 350-360fps 20ft MED limit.JumpGunner wrote:mp5 or p90 w/duel sector gear. just my guess

Re: Latest Acquisition
that sounds about right, is the m160 and the m190 both irregular or are they different, if so they could net different results. have fun getting it in too. A m160 is a pain in the butt to get in. The only time I would even give it (m190) a shot is if there was a quick release.

Re: Latest Acquisition
Both are irregular SHS springs, so it should be a good bit stronger. This spring is quite impressive, I'm having troubles compressing it with my hands, even the S170s that I've messed with before I could more or less manipulate with my hands.

Re: Latest Acquisition
now the question is, what motor. A standard high speed motor is out the window. systema magnum or some other high torque. what rof are you shooting for.

Re: Latest Acquisition
Systema magnum is a waste of money and a turd of a motor. I've got strong feelings because for a $100 motor, they should work a heck of a lot better than they do.
My motor is a Lonex A2 torque, the DSG paired with Prometheus Gears, an SHS 15 tooth piston, a nice mosfet wired to deans, 14 gauge wire, and the rest is stock.
And it's no problem, I enjoy sharing my experiences.

Re: Latest Acquisition
It's a standard 18:1 gear ratio. I'm getting 31rps on a 7.4v, 52rps on a small 11.1v, and a small 14.8v did 65rps, but it also destroyed some gears, and the piston. I've since repaired the parts, but haven't tried a 14.8v again. Part of me thinks it might have been PE wtih the 14.8v, and the M190 would stop that from happening, meaning I could safely use a 14.8v with the gun.
