Nevermind, I punched the pin holding the bolt release out with a precision screwdriver and reassembled the gearbox. It locked up again much like OPs did so I removed the blowback feature this time (2 pcs) and it fires fine. Not sure if it was because I didn't torque the screws in correctly the first...

I'm having similar issues with mine M4 Cobra, but I can't seem to remove the gearbox. I've removed all body pins, the mag release and disconnected the motor. Seems like the bolt release has some sort of catch that prevents the gearbox from being lifted out. Help please?
