ARES Tar 21 Tavor

Post by Bushmaster » Fri Feb 05, 2010 7:32 pm

OK guys and gals, I have wanted a Tavor ever since I saw it on Future Weapons, the only one on the market that I know of is the ARES, and that is a rebrand. I just want to know who makes it?  If anybody knows it would be really nice to know.

Ares, in the past, was a subcontractor of STAR, however they are now an independent manufacturer located in Hong Kong.

Ares is the manufacturer of the Tavor TAR-21. This is the only version that is officially licenced by the Israeli Weapon Industry. TSI has also made a Tavor, however, it is not officially licenced by IWI.

There are also horrible reviews of the TSI, but glowing reviews of the Ares Tavor.

For the record, the Ares Tavor is NOT a rebrand.

Alright thanks, I had been told that they still only rebranded...
Adrian, do you have a link to the TSI? When I buy a Tavor, I plan on buying it and upgrading it so crappy intrernals wouldn't really be a problem as long as it uses a standard gearbox. :)

here is a review of the tsi (long part 1 0f 4)
TSI Armories Airsoft Tavor Review Part 1 of 4
and tsi's website http://www.tsiarmories.com/aeg.html

for the record ares makes all their own stuff
but some of their stuff has crappy internals

Thanks all!

Looks like the TSI is even more expensive than the ARES. :-\

Unless somebody inexpensive clones the ARES, I shall not have a Tavor for many years. :(
