Looking to buy a p226

Ehhh, gunna try my best to keep this from being a "wut is bestest" thread. I'm looking at getting a p226 to replace my broken kwa kp45. I used to own a kjw p226, but had to return/trade it in for the kwa, as the lip broke on the mag, and the replacement they gave me. Not sure if this is fixed on the new licensed one by cybergun though. Anywho. The main three brands I've been looking at is the Cybergun(kjw), KWA, and TM. The kwa though is a little more than the others, ($30-40) so unless that turns out to be a huge step up from the others, I would like to avoid that one. Does anyone have any experience with any of these(good or bad)?

Also, I usually get my guns at BC, as the price is usually about the same as anywhere else online, and it's 10 times easier to return them. Currently waiting for a call back on the price of a TM, but the kjw is $129.99.

I wouldnt get the KWA. A friend of mine had one a while back, and when it broke, he sent it to me. Those things are a huge PIA to work on, and from what I have read, the problem he had is pretty common.

I would get the Marui, or just keep with the KJW and buy Marui mags for it.

Well I have the KWA, granted it's the older PTP and not the newest one that just came out... and aside from a problem with the magazine feed ramp cracking, I haven't had any problems with it. From what I understand the Feed ramp cracking is more User error for allowing the follower to be pulled down and then let go without having any BBs in it, which I did  . But the new KWA 226's don't seem to have this problem, at least I haven't heard of the new ones having this problem.

The problem with the PTP is more with the loading nozzle, they shatter. Its easy to get a replacement, but I hated working on Andrew's. Its seems pretty common from what I have read on other boards as well.

I just think your cheapest, most reliable way to go is Marui or KJW.

Does anyone happen to know anywhere I could find the TM online for a price reference? The only place I've found was RedWolf.

I've only ever owned that kwa. How does the quality of a TM compare with the opposing brands like kwa and kjw?

Also jack, I noticed in the mauri you had for sale, you had a fmk on it. How is the factory frame? Also, how is orange tip removal?

Tokyo Marui P226's go for around $130 to $150.

Yeah, I have a Guarder FMK on mine, and its great. Its not the highest quality, like some of the PGC kits. The stock body is great, nice and deep trades, and very few seam lines. The orange tip is easily removable but the type of orange tip varies by stores. Some stores use orange paint, and others glue an orange plastic tip.

No, Marui guns are made in Japan where it is illegal to have metal replica firearms. Nearly all of the Marui line  are plastic.

You can purchase MBK's for pretty cheap. The Guarder kit on mine was only $120.

Eek, I didn't realize that. I'm really not looking to put more than $140 into a pistol right now, might have to stick with the kjw...

The TM will shoot better and last far longer than the KJW, metal body or not.

If you get the TM just remember to use duster gas. As for leaky mags, that's a cheap fix 90% of the time.
