For me and the rest of us here in Myrtle Beach, going to a game anywhere in the upstate would cost a minimum of $100 (more if you include lodging and food) not including the price of admission for the game.  I'm not to sure people would want to pay extra now for a game that may or may not occur in the future.  Leaving a pot of money around may not be the best idea either. Embezzlement is quite the temptation these days.

Like everyone else is saying, I would pay for a well run OP with a large turnout, however, neither of those are things that you can control.  Maybe after an OP is well established, a raffle can be added, then maybe a patch.  Like Fallen said, put the extra money from admission into the OP, then add the prizes and giveaways.

Not to burst anybody's bubble, but there is a large pot of money left over from the field fee at almost every game.

Nobody has caught me embezzling yet. :D

it just seems when there is a raffle...the same people win, not as bad as NC tho when the same team members win all the good stuff....
When you definitely need it killed overnight...

I am with the lower price, no goodies crowd.
1.  I took a pay cut at work, and finances were already tight to begin with.
2.  Since I am near Charleston, I already have to spend gas money for 200-400 miles round trip.
3.  Raffles are nice, but I don't want to spend extra just for the SMALL chance I MIGHT win something.

BS. I don't doubt it in NC. In all the SC games with raffles that I've attended, relatively unknown players have won the guns in most cases.
