I know. The plane thing is doable though. get a modded golf cart or something that you have to put together before driving to a certain point at which you won the game. Also, have it so the zombies could win by downing everybody at the same time or something, that way it not a "run around until we win kinda thing.

and we could even do teams or something and have them "race" against each other to complete the escape objective(s).

Hell, I wouldn't mind just doing a copy of that zombie game that got cancelled.

Here were the rules:
-Runs from 7 P.M. to 7 A.M.
-12 survivors and 12+ zombies in a small urban setting (The zombies were being paid to act so the fee was high)
-12 hours of nonstop role play.
-Midcaps only.
-Once infected by zombie, you can't move and must receive the antidote before you are dead.
-Dead survivors sit out until the next reinforcement spawn (Twice every hour) No reloading mags while you're dead either.
-Random Objs throughout the night like "recover the ammo cache" to keep the survivors from holing up in one area.
-Only have what ammo you can carry.
-Different types of zombies (Some take more damage, some are fast, some can spray infecting goo, etc)

Personally I think the addition of a few speaker systems blasting creepy ambiance during the silent moments and maybe some sort of scary dark electro music during the action would really help the immersion.

There clearly seems to be enough public demand for a Zombie game, and I think Splat had put together a good one. Since it has been cancelled, and CLEARLY you all still want to play one, I will do one along the lines of what Splatmaster was going to do within the next few months, if only to make you all shut up :P. I'll try to get a date up for it in the near future.

I would give you a +1 but your karma is currently 69, and I'm far too amused by this to change it.

For real though, I never thought I'd see a Zombie Game happen in South Carolina!

Indeed, if we have one while it is cold it would be better for the zombies because they would be wearing thicker clothing.  So don't hold off on us for too long.  :-X

I was thinking that you could make it a little more interesting by having 2 small squads (6-8 players) of survivors fighting each other AND the zombies.  in the end only one team survives  8)

If you wamt a quick and dirty zombie game, without all the issues with hiring zombies and such I had with mine, here is the writup for one I put on last december that went pretty well up at BOSS paintball in NC.
RULES:
Semi-auto only. CQB rated, 300 w/ .25

Pistols, shotguns, recommended.

Maximum ONE highcap magazine for AEG’s. No limit on Mids.

No camo regulations, you will want long sleeves.

RED glowsticks REQUIRED as dead rags. No glowstick, no play. There will be some for sale at $1 each, but supply will be limited.

ELIMATION:
All human players will have pie plate (Supplied) clipped to their belt. When infected, the player will take the pie plate and clip it to his collar or front of his gear and become a member of the zombie team.

To eliminate infected, the pie plate must be hit a maximum of twice. DO NOT AIM FOR FACE, THERE IS NO PIE PLATE THERE. Zombies are allowed to call themselves out even if the pie plate is not hit to prevent from being further shot. Zombies may not cover their plates, walk backwards, or prevent the plate from being the primary target.

Zombies may not move faster than a swift walk. Do not jog or run. They may hide and leap out. Be warned, close shots WILL occur. Full face highly recommended even for those over 18. All under must wear full face.

To infect a human, a zombie must tap any part of their person. One touch from any part of a zombie on any part of a human is instant infection. Gun taps don’t count. When infected the formerly human player MUST go to a regeneration site.

When shot as a zombie, the zombie has a choice to either stay in place for 1 minute, or move back to a designated regeneration area and instantly spawn.

Indefinite spawns.
More than willing to put something like this on in December if there is enough interest.

If I could make it, you could basically count me in for a zombie game. It'll probably be more of a huge learning experience for the first zombie game but if it doesnt flop, then they'de just get more fun if we had more.

I'd definitely recommend midcaps only though. In a game where the whole enemy faction is COMPLETELY UNARMED, having the ability to lay down 300+ rounds without having to reload is just a little unfair. Ammo capacity is a serious factor that can influence the way a zombie scenario goes.

And @ Villid, yeah that would be pretty intense, but that sort of defeats the purpose of a zombie game. Cool idea though.

That would be fun to try on a day where a zombie game wasnt initially planned but some ideas were needed for different rounds. Kinda like a pickup game or something.

i guess it sounds better in my head cause ive got a scenario planned out.  essentially survivors would be one of two sides in a war that accidentally released a horde of zombies.  limited ammo means that not only do they have to battle each other for supplies, but the zombies as well.  you wouldnt know if you were gonna get shot or grabbed all night.  figure 12-16 total survivors and an equal or greater number of zombies.
