I might be in the minority here, but I'd rather watch a video with no music at all. I actually like to hear what's going on!

I think it depends on what type of vid you're wanting to make. I like seeing raw footage (with sound) of individual games. But if it's a compilation, I think thats begging for special effects to make the sequences more dramatic and dynamic. If the vid has visual hooks, along with raw footage and even sound bytes, you can make any style music compliment the visuals and the visuals compliment the music.

It depends on the video, but for the most part I agree Steev.  One of the best vid's that I have seen was from OP Domino this past summer at Redfox.  It has the proper style of background music for a vietnam themed game.  That's the key for me, it's BACKGROUND music, you can still hear everything going on.

OP: The Assassination of a World Leader (AF)
OP: OP24 II -Villagers Revenge(AF)

Thanks for the vid compliment. Filming and fighting at the same time usually makes for shotty videos, but my Domino vid turned out pretty dandy if I do say so myself. ;D

Go chop up We Sail At Dawn's Sound of Trumpets. The song itself is amazing, and i think would be perfect for an awesome video. http://www.myspace.com/wesailatdawn
