Battlecat's fps limit?
I have just moved to South Carolina and have found many good outdoor fields near me, but occasionally i like to play cqb so i started to look into battlecat. My question is: do they use .25g bbs when chronograghing the guns because the fps seems really low espesially since online they advertise some guns they have for sale that i know are over there fps limit.

Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
They chrono with .20's, the FPS limit is 330 fps. Nothing higher than .25's allowed. Their website is outdated, don't look at it for info other than the address and phone number.

Yes, unfortunately the website is being worked on. The fps is 330 with .20. You can use .25 but you will chrono with .20s.

Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
Well then do any of you know a spring that would make the fps sutable for battlecat?
Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
FPS of spring = spring number as meters per second with .20s, unless you have a Madbull in which case it's MPS with .25s.
Therefore a M100 would be 100 meters per sec, or 330ish feet per second. If you have excellent compression that would be over the limit, so a M90 might be more suitable.

Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
Both my CQB guns use m90s in them. Both are sitting at 326 and 328 +/- 2fps.
Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
1 meter = 3.28 feet
M90 = 90 mps = 295.2 fps
M100 = 100 mps = 328 fps
and so on..

Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
But as always, that is relative to the how effective your seals are. In some stock echo1 p90 you can get a near perfect seal so a m90 will get you over 300 with .20. However with stock g&g m4, a m90 will get you 280fps with .20.
Best bet is to try a m100. If it works, great. But with a little work on o-ring sizes, you will find that lighter spring can get you great better effects.
Down side is that Battlecats does not allow full-auto. It does suck to have a 0 med zone on full-auto with limited lighting.

Ya i noticed that i had a cheap old cyma ak stuck a high speed echo1 motor and a lipo on it hoping to dominate there and then i found out theres no full auto but it can still be a fun place to play at.

Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
They had invite only games for big boys that had allowed full auto. With 0 med, few got their panties all in a wad. So imagine if newbies and younger players did that. I would know that many just want to spray and pray, but real world is still taught and uses mostly semi.
Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
I live near there, and BC can be fun. You should also check out the Fort Prince game coming up soon if you like cqb. Better, IMO, than BC. Mainly because of the variety of environments.
in regards to the full auto at BC, me and some guys who used to be at clemson went not long after they opened in their new place and did full auto with cqb's...ow. Was fun, but ow. they looked at us like we were stupid (probably with good reason). I'm not saying that I wouldn't do it again, but thats the most pain i've been in while playing airsoft.

Re: Battlecat's fps limit?
Sometimes I have a group of us play the OpForce for training events. In those we give the other group a choice of full or semi. Never fails, they choose full for the first match, then switch to semi for the rest of the event.
