The new management of Redfox has been shying away from, during scouting for past events.
Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
airfarms pretty much in the middle but does anyone remember saluda paintball in anderson they would possibly be able to catter to 500+ people and the guy who owns it might be willing to do a charity event unless its under new managment or shut down

If you mean the old church camp, it is indeed shut down.
There's no kill switch on awesome!

Ok if no one is gonna grab the bull and lead it, then this isn't gonna happen. Lay down a schedule here and stick to it.
One week from today - January second - have your location LOCKED down
by the fallowing weekend you need to have your date set, and don't change it.
In the middle of that someone needs to write the game so that it can be posted everywhere asap. Most players will not come to a last min game that they feel unprepared for.
Have someone who will be responsible for dealing with rules and issues with the other state. Yes there will be many questions asked.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
We've already stated Redfox is out of the question. Saluda is too. SQA is in the process with Kory and his father talking it out. Blue Hole is out. This leaves us with The Airfarm or SQA, both of which are centered mainly in the middle of our state, SC. One of those fields will hold Operation GNS (Temporary name guys). That will happen for sure. We will have one picked out for the game by January 2nd, 2013. Now for the date:
GA vs. FL will take place February 23rd, 2013 in Orlando. We MUST plan Operation GNS some time after that game to ensure people to plan accordingly. I will set a date for Operation GNS set for middle April to late May. You guys pick the weekend. Do not pick the weekend before or after Spring Break, you will loose much of the player base, who I'm sure have families to spend time with too. The weekend of April 27th looks good to me, it gives GA players time and it gives everyone to plan after Spring Break, and its some time before exams and EOC tests for students in SC and GA.
We will have the date, location, and basic game rules set up and posted before the econd AOSC game in January. The story can be posted directly after that.
Something like this:
Operation GNS
Georgia and North Carolina fight over valuable resources in South Carolina territory. Who will come out on top?
April 27th, Airfarm,470 Halfacre Rd, Newberry, SC 29108
Be there
Game details to come soon

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
In my opinion, the game will run more smoothly if SC players choose a side (no third faction).
Also, an AOSC rep probably needs to commit to hosting this if it's going to be successful, and we need to start planning and advertising soon.
The date should probably not be too close to Red Storm East 2 to maximize attendance.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
Carolinas vs GA sounds good.
3 faction, though awesome, will be too big for any field.
I still think we need to look at some facilites elsewhere..
RS-E is April 27th. So plan this for May 11th.
I am willing to help. But there needs to be a more fortified field than Airfarm, and the SQA may be too small. will know after the 5th.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
SQA is now out of equation......
Most likely will be at Airfarm, a place NC airsofters can get to easily and most of GA can to aswell.
I'm pretty sure we're leaning toward 3 faction game. Sc-civvies Ga-Green NC-Tan and just seeing who comes out on top and completes their objectives.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
3 Faction games are stupid and wont work have South Carolinians pick a side just like every other game.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
Glad that its stupid thank you. Having a GA vs. Carolinas game is not a bad idea, we just need to know if we're doing that or not.
All we need NOW is a location and date. Everything else can be figured out.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
its only stupid on a limited budget (props), and no
fortification. the more people you for the harder is going to be .
I'm all for 3 factions. but I see all the points, a game like that will take more administrators, a much larger field
and 1 good scenario with plenty of objections. and Ample time to do it. 2 day min.
that goes without saying only if the world was perfect huh

Where we stand:
1) BH, 2) RF, and 3) AF
May 11th
Looking like a one day event from 9-5:30 no lunch break.
Fee: TBD, think 20-25$
Alpha: SC/NC Vs Bravo: GA
Now to what your talking about Crawler, I have a 3 faction large scale game written, and it would be perfect, but this just isn't the game for it. Maybe later. But that ship has sailed. No more 3F games, move it to a new thread.

Re: Operation GNS: Georgia vs. North Carolina vs. South Caro
Saw the post on the NCairsoft forums, thought I'd pop down and see what's what.
Read the whole thread, interesting points from many people. I won't impede your debates one way or the other, but I will issue you a warning.
A lot of NC players still have a sour taste in their mouths as far as the Airfarm is concerned after coming down en masse to OP 24 a few years ago and it being an utter clustfudgenugget. That one game alone pretty well pissed off at least one member on each of the most established NC teams, and I feel safe saying they are wary of driving that far again to the same field. Much the same way (I suppose from reading this thread, I was in A-stan at the time) the last SC vs GA event went.
So, if you want this thing to work, don't post a half-ass thread about it on the NC forums. Plan it all the way out, put someone very experienced and knowledgeable in charge, and get the whole thing set and ready before you try to get NC. We have a lot of big, large games at fields more appealing than the airfarm(no offense intended), so it has to be something genuinely special to pull a good crowd, something better than just a chance to kick the crap out of GA.
Just trying to help! I should be out in time for this, and may very well attend, so best of luck to you.
