The government isn't spending money on some made up anti-airsoft agenda    They have legitimate concerns with these GBB guns, but I really don't think they handled it well.  I have no doubt they could be modified to fire a real round, but they would hardly be "military grade" without access to some high dollar machining equipment.

I agree with... airsoftsniper11. While the agents made themselves look like idiots, it could be done (in theory). That said, the resulting "gun" would be so completely different from the original GBBR that it would barely count as a converted gun. Additionally, the cost of the machinery required could buy quite a few rifles if you knew where to look.
