You can just call me "Dom" then, that's an acceptable abbreviation ;) (Or what 82d said, as I am known for nomnoms and it shows ;D)

It is frequently misspelled and mispronounced in a number of horrible renditions, "dominium, dominion, dominique, dominiom," etc.

So, let me set the record straight, it is pronounced "Dah-mee-noom". This is because it is a Latin word from, if I'm not mistaken, the pre-catholicism era when the more or less original dialects of Latin were spoken. The Republican Era of the Roman state essentially. The correct Latin pronunciation of "i" is "ee", and that of the "u" in this context is "oo".

The word "Dominum" is rarely found in most Latin texts, because most of those texts are post-imperial and often use other forms or derivations. English has extricated the words "dominion, domain, dominate", and various others from "Dominum". This is the original masculin form of the noun, and it means "Lord, Master, Master of, Lord of, or superior". Though the context it is usually used in now refers to God himself, that is not the original meaning and is not at all my use of it. I am using it as my callsign not in the latter sense, (in other words I'm not calling myself God, or anything close), but in the original sense, as a mortal Master or Superior, considering my vast array of opponents were merely A.I.

I have used it most of my life as my profile name in games and such, and figured it was only fitting as my call sign. Now I get more phone calls on a daily basis asking for "Dom" then I do Henry! LOL
But apparently you're the direct object.  :P

Latin Endings (2nd Declension)

Nominative (Subject)
-us
-i

Genitive (Posession)
-i
-orum

Dative (Indirect Object)
-o
-is

Accusative (Direct Object)
-um
-os

Ablative
-o
-is

1st column is singular, second is plural.

My call sign originated from Runescape (like DoubleWolf). 6 years ago I was known as Blue Falco12. I came up with that name from a mixture of my favorite color and StarFox on the Nintendo 64. Blue Falcon was taken so I had to settle with the next best thing.

I later decided to change it, but couldn't figure out to what. At that time my favorite band was Mudvayne and prophet sounded very cool. I use MudvayneProphet for most of my usernames online. My Xbox Live gamertag has since been changed to Prophet MVG due to the fact that I joined a team and they paid me to change it. 8)

Once in a while I'll still listen to Mudvayne, but I've become less genre specific when it comes to music. I pretty much listen to it all now.

People generally refer to me as Mud, Mudvayne, Chris, One of The Chris', or Action. Action came from my training with some friends at LCSD. My last name is Acton, but they misspelled my name tape and it said "Action." It hasn't really bothered me and is actually kind of cool. Friends at the department call me Officer Action. Plus it sounds really funny when a drunk is trying to say it. :D

If my call sign wasn't attached to me I would probably change it to Officer Action.
