hahaha I dont think anyone would be ready
AND also, is 20$ really too much to ask for in admissions? Pay for patches, gearboxes, rentals, bbs, gas?

Well, in my case, no. My parents dont do squat for me, except provide a roof, food, and some compassion (When they are not breathing fire and brimstone) I do however work my ass off. One lawn mowing = dues for club. I'd redirect the actual admission to help get the fund raiser started up, instead of paying for actual gear. This way the economic side of the club grows, allowing you to get better and more reliable gear. But no, I do not believe $20 is an extreme amount to get, however everyone to his own.

Re: Thoughts on a High School Airsoft team
Jon you saw the argument. See i would take the 300-400$ raised by admissions ticket and spend on fundraising, getting 50% profit each time. Worlds Finest chocolate really works! That money made would never go to gear or guns but to gas, bbs, and game tickets. I mean adding all that up, its 10$ per person to ride to Wellford in my car for gas, 10$ for 4000 goldenballs, and normally a 20$ game ticket. thats 40$ per game already. Not counting food and unseen issues (had a time we got lost coming home from redfox, had to buy gas and food, made it home at like 11)
I'm being reasonable right?

I wouldn't get too communal on expenses, it tends to cause problems. Having everyone buy and use their own stuff and pay their own way is much less of a headache and tends to work much better in the long run. Obviously pitching in on patches, gas, and stuff like that is good though.
Good work guys, hopefully this will help grow the sport and maybe we will see some more high school and college clubs soon.

Re: Thoughts on a High School Airsoft team
Assuming that 15 dudes sign up and go, I think there is a fine line between having to fund everyone, to just paying for patches and what not. Despite the gripes I have about JROTC, they got somethings right. We would have to pay to go on field trips, like $5-$10, depending on where we went and what not. Socialistic policies some times work when everyone is chill, but when you factor in pissy teenager mood swings, it just doesn't really work. As for the argument I do believe it turned into a e-peen waving contest.
However, what I will be doing if you are wondering, is starting fund raisers by private capital, purchase
CM028's, http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1484 for new groups using some capital from the fundraisers, however it will be owned by the club, so it will be kind of a mutual airsoft gear. NOTE it will not be owned by the school because the funding was started by private funds. As for the quality of the CM028's, I personally own one, and performance wise it is quite shocking if I do say so myself. At first it was quite creaky, but after tightening a few screws it was good to go. After 10% off, and free shipping, $99 for a person to play is a good deal. Considering the small size of the club, we should be good.

I do like your idea Jon, but my issue would become who would get the gun at games, and that people do need to get their own stuff

Re: Thoughts on a High School Airsoft team
To use the Club's guns, you must meet the following criteria -
1) Not have functioning AEG
2) Must have sold at least $20 in candy or donated
3) Good conduct
4) Been to at least 4 meetings after school
After that, the people who sell the most chocolate get the guns first.

Re: Thoughts on a High School Airsoft team
Bluffton High School Airsoft Club has been established. Ironically, our sponsor is also a Mr. Martin. We have a new field that we have recieved permission from to construct and create modular buidlings, and in addition we can adjust to the field to our needs. Its about 3-4 acres, but it will suite our needs. Great success.
