So a friend of mine wants to get into airsoft and he really likes the xm8...
But the only companies that manufacture them appear to be AGM and Cybergun.

What I'm wondering is:
1. Are the AGM or Cybergun versions any good
2. Does CA or TM or something make a version

Cybergun currently seems to be stepping up a big time with their quality.

As far as I know the only model even worth considering would be the SRC. He could always buy a JG G36 and get an XM8 body conversion.

You just have to remember that SRC model guns are a big pain in the eye to disessemble...

I can not vouch for the zm8 Cybergun, But I do know that the 552 they make is really nasty. Ian's is a cybergun.

Yeah.. I dont know what made me pick CG over JG, but it was a good choice, I would like to check a JG to compare. Its my sons gun, and hes happy with it.. The 550 is big but it is a gun you can feel safe with, mad range and a good ROF, little better than my AK believe it or not.. We will have to see how she holds up..

Unless anything has changed since 6 months ago, that Cybergun 550 *is* a JG. Same probably applies to the XM8.

Or he could buy a TM G36c and an XM8 kit .

He would certainly have a unique loadout, in any event.

The thing about that is...I don't think he wants to drop $300-400 on his first gun

For low budget I would reccomend buying the AGM XM8 and then upgrading it.

Eh...just looked into it and it turns out the AGM version doesn't except standard g36 mags...so gay
