Keep losing pistol mags
Need some opinions on why i keep losing my mags. Ive got a CYMA G18c. The last 2 games ive played, when ive gone to use my pistol, ive discovered that the mags i had in the gun were gone. Both times i was unable to find the mags. Im trying to figure out if this is an issue with the gun itself or with the holster. The holster is a cheap one, kind of flexible, and i was thinkng that at somepoint in moving around it is puttin enough pressure on the mag realse to drop the mags. if anyone else has ever had thsi sort of issue, i could use the help. this is getting expensive.

I'm willing to bet that it's your holster, that's pushing the mag release. What I do with my Glock is just carry the mag in my admin pouch or in my pocket.

Re: Keep losing pistol mags
yeah i just left my mags in the mag pouch during the afternoon game. im thinking of gluing some velcro on both side of the grip to hold it in place. dont knwo how well it will work, bu velcro is pretty cheap

Re: Keep losing pistol mags
Unless it's a Serpa, don't keep your magazines in your gun while it's holstered. It's as simple as that.
I taste how that would feel
Re: Keep losing pistol mags
If you can, get either a Serpa or Safariland holster. They have hard shells, and can't press the mag release. I've used my TM G18C AEP in numerous games with a mag in at all times and haven't lost one yet.

There's no kill switch on awesome!

About $40 shipped for a SERPA from RSOV.

Re: Keep losing pistol mags
Yeah, the mag-guard things are great. They'll slow your reloads down a little bit, but it's worth it nonetheless.
Seriously though, I would save a little and grab a knock off serpa. Mine cost me $34 shipped with the serpa-style leg rig, and it was worth every cent of it. Not quite the quality of a real BlackHawk, but plenty good enough for airsoft.
