Just wanting to find out if TSD bb's are worth buying. Looking at the .25g competition grade ones, any input is appreciated.

They're okay, but I wouldn't use them with a quality barrel/bucking.

When I first started running the Winchester in Newberry, I picked up a bag of TSD .28s from Garrett. While they weren't *bad*, my KSC .25s were more accurate, even with the high FPS. The TSDs won't ruin your gun, but higher grade BBs are worth the money if you don't spam ammo all day. (I don't normally use .25s in the Winchester, for the record)

I recommend Javelin .25s if you're looking for a good .25 variety with a lower price point.

I agree with the picture.

I have used TSD bb's in a gun with a 6.03 tbb and they never jammed and I never had any problems. KSC bb's should give you better accuracy, but I couldn't see the difference. If they're the only bb's avalible at the time, then I would use them. I have had a gun that shot better with Crossman .25 than TSD, Matrix, KSC, and Javelin, though. I would try different bb's and see wich one's work the best with your gun.

If you wanna go with a cheaper bb then go with Goldenball...they were way more accurate for me than TSD was

TSD BBs also have a rep for leaving a ton of gunk in your barrel, which is always a pain but will be magnified if you have a TBB installed.

Are Airsoft Elite bbs good?

Airsoft Elite and Javelins are good, I usually use G&Gs or KSCs. TMs and Maruzens are excellent, but expensive. I would not ever buy Crossmans, TSDs, or Matrix, as you are pretty much guaranteed bad accuracy, and are more likeyl to have problems. I haven't used Goldenballs yet, but I understand they are slightly smaller, which should result in a small (but not really noticeable) FPS drop. You WILL spend more money using cheaper BBs than better ones. Why? It only takes a couple rounds of accurate BBs to hit a target, whereas it takes more rounds of less accurate BBs to hit the same target at the same range. So; buy better (slightly more expensive) BBs and use less to get the same kills and save money.

I use to use nothing but KSC bbs, but I was able to try some King Arm bbs at a good price. I like the KA bbs in that they fly flatter. In testing them I was able to pick up 15-20 ft distance and accuracy increased. If you want to try some, let me know. I can get you some at a good price.

I have been intrestead in this topic since it started. I have used TSDs for a while when i started and still have some left over. I now have Goldenballs. I decided to do a test and see the groupings.

I decided to use my very reliable KWA CQB gun. chronos at 340. I will be using the iron sights so look for groupings and not so much accuracy.

These are the BBs I used.

and

I measured of 33 feet in my basement because we have a dehumidifier and no wind will affect the results. I placed the target down range

It was a straight shot.

I fired 10 shots of each BB. and the results are as follows.

My results proved to me that the Goldenballs provided better groupings. I will no longer be using TSDs but now GoldenBall BBs.

Any Questions please ask.

Do the same with higher quality brands and post please, then do long range tests.

Well... that certainly explains how crappy my accuracy was with the TSD .28s. :P

ive been using the goldenball .20s for the last 6 months.  they are a good ammo for the price, but at longer ranges the accuracy is drops significantly.  The the airsoft elites didnt provide much better results.

Remember the weight to FPS ratio guys.
