I am looking for a pistol to use as my sidearm with my sniper/L96 set-up, any suggestions?

What's your budget? That would help everyone determine a good pistol for you...chubakamoose wrote: I am looking for a pistol to use as my sidearm with my sniper/L96 set-up, any suggestions?

Re: Pistol suggestion?
OK. Are you looking for a Gas blow back? You have a few options, and price goes up.
Cheapest is spring, I assume you dont want that.
Up from there, you have Co2 non blow back.
Then Co2 blowback, which there aren't alot of.
Then gas non blowback.
Then, gas blowback, which I like because they are more realistic..... you can get a decent GBB for $80+

Re: Pistol suggestion?
Romba missed the most functional category: AEPs. You don't get the satisfaction of a GBB, but you get a far more reliable and accurate pistol as a tradeoff.

Ahhhh yes Steevo. But AEP's seem to also be the most expensive. At least from what I've seen. Please correct me if I'm wrong.SteevoLS wrote: Romba missed the most functional category: AEPs. You don't get the satisfaction of a GBB, but you get a far more reliable and accurate pistol as a tradeoff.

Re: Pistol suggestion?
Best = TMs
Best bang for buck = clones
Example:
Tokyo Marui Glock 18C AEP = $180ish
Cyma Glock 18C AEP = $50-60ish
There are Glock 18Cs, USPs, M93Rs, Desert Eagles, and P226s. Double Eagle made a straight M9 for a while (as opposed to M93R), but I haven't seen one for sale in months.

Re: Pistol suggestion?
Me personally I like GBB pistols. I would recommend the WE 1911. You can get it from evike for around $80. Its a bit of a gas guzzler but its heavy and more realistic. I borrowed a friend's for a game one time and I loved it.

Re: Pistol suggestion?
I'd get a TM AEP if I were you, but if you want a GBB, then I'd reccomend the KWA USP .45. I have the Match version, and it shot further than my KWA m4 (but not as accurate). Also, TM makes good GBBs.

Re: Pistol suggestion?
as a side arm for a sniper you really should think about the TM MK23 NBB. quiet, accurate, dependable. they are bigger than the average pistol but you can't touch their stealthiness even with an AEP you can get them in the 100-125 range used if you keep your eye open. they sell fast

Re: Pistol suggestion?
I was about to put up an AEP combo soon. I have a TM Glock AEP and CYMA Glock aep that i was going to sell together with 3 batteries, 1 charger, 2 30 rd. mags, and 1 90rd mag. Im selling it because i like my GBB better.
I would list all the games I've been to but...I've been to almost every game since December 2007.

I ordered one from them 2 weeks ago. Took about 5 days to get here. I love the thing.

You name a game, I've been to it.
If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.
If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

Re: Pistol suggestion?
both are Tokyo Marui. Mk23's can be found all over, there are at least 3 on ebay right now, try the classifieds of airsoft retreat or lurk the for sale ads in NC, GA, SC, and TN. You can also find them in a lot of shops.
The AEP's you pretty much have to order them from overseas but once in a blue moon you'll find one but they tend to hold their value very well due to their comparative rarity
