Please for the sake of airsoft; take this link, print it out, sign it, and send to to the California senator. I know what your thinking, oh it's in California so it won't effect me. You're wrong. Think about it, almost all airsoft guns come in through a port in California. That means that the guns that come in will have to be this bright neon color. So unless your get your gun directly from the manufacturer then your gun will be a bright neon. It also may cause other states to follow this movement INCLUDING SOUTH CAROLINA. Please take ten minutes out of your day and help stop this bill.

Also you can call (916) 651-4022 and tell them that you are against California SB 798. They will take your name and city then they will mark you as opposed to this bill.

Yeah i agree with Esteban, buy right from HK like always, and problem fixed.

But what if the problem becomes all airsoft guns coming in to the country have to be painted some bright color? And just because you use HK what about other people that want to shop from different retailers and get different brands?

I just signed and faxed off a copy. I think it would rather ruin the sport (even tho it might be funny) if we had to run around with these gun colors.

On a side note, all airsoft guns originate from eastern Asia, so you'd still be able to import via the east coast instead of California's ports.

All airsoft retailers (literally ALL) in this country are supplied by the major wholesalers in Southern California. These wholesalers get their goods directly via ports in SoCal. If this law were implemented, it would mean the major wholesalers for every airsoft retailer in this country would carry brightly colored guns, and thus the retailers would as well. Yes, there are Asian wholesalers (I am trying to get approved with some of them right now), but this will still cause at best a major market shift and many companies will go bankrupt in the process.

Leave it to the brilliant leftists of California to shoot themselves in the foot when they are on their last leg. Cali is already going bankrupt from their idiotic tax policy, and now they are going to force an intire industry that they as a state have almost monopolized to leave for the sake of making a safety law that won't do any good for the lawbreakers who it is suppossed to thwart anyway. It's as stupid as making Virginia Tech's campus a "gun free zone".

With the amazing technology of gun paint this bill would pretty much be useless...just watch the video.

you can always paint the end of your gun orange so the orange tip doesnt really mean anything either
