Why wouldn't you just make a Nerf Vortex launching Howitzer? It would be much smaller, cheaper (both to make and operate), lighter, easier to transport, MUCH more range and accuracy, and when you miss it is less likely to break someone's neck or nose.

Tennis ball launching mortars work great in the open like at that blue hole field you could deploy three of them up on a ridge and cover that grass field. and hitting people has never caused damage when we used them. A basketball on the other hand is a wee bit of a safety concern.

it would be mounted on a gocart and would have the speed equivilant of me throwing it. that or i could get my slingshot and shoot tennis balls with it. if that counted as A-T. it's still just a thought. :P

You do realize my highly effective and one man served/portable Big Bertha V2 is only $60 right? Why would you go through all that trouble when you could get 20' groupings at 450'?

12g CO2 charges are a lot more portable.

it's about as big as a 1 1/2 cans of axe and holds 35 cubic feet of air at 3500 psi. i'd much rather have the scuba tank

Personally, If I show up to a game, and see a person shooting basketballs out of cannons at people, I would head home. Regardless of how much or little power it has behind it, I think of it as a definite safety issue, yes you can get hurt playing airsoft, but that doesn't mean you deliberately plan for it.

If your using it as AT, well... what if you break the glass on a truck technical. Are you planning on paying for it, and any damage that glass may cause to others? I would much rather see an anti personal weapon that fired 15 tennis balls in a shotgun spread, than basketballs zinging through the air.

I am not about to allow people to fire basketballs through the air at games, don't worry.
