if you want some "exploding" bb's (they just make a bunch of sparks and explode a little) here's the link http://www.airsoftworld.net/6mm-explodi ... -bb-s.html
and here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFNpiOIDuCg

Directly from the description:

These MUST NOT be used at skirmish sites or fired directly at anything other than a solid surface that does not breathe. When they explode, the plastic shell breaks into tiny little fragments which are ejected at a 'stinging' velocity. So if they hit someone or an animal, they will MOST LIKELY fire fragments into their eyes. If you take these to any skirmish site, they will most likely ban you for life - or worse.

Bring them to the AOSC and i know I wont be playing.

Plus, 10cents a bb? Thats a whole lotta cash. However, I can see it you'd buy them for a movie or something, that'd be pretty cool. but, like felix said, not for use in any airsoft games.

those would be cool in a minigun though. you gotta admit.

These will obviously not be allowed at any AOSC event.

That's a given of course. Those are pretty cool, I'd like to buy some to shoot at cans with. I always thought a little gunpowder would make airsoft more fun!

they are pretty fun to shoot in a gun with a high rof. just put them in a hicap. if the spring in a midcap or lowcap shoots them to the top of the mag they will most likely explode :P i'm also gonna try to make a portable gun like the tank at cid2 had. it should be an easy build with the design i have.

You will have to carry a big tank on your back, so think flamethrower. Midcaps shouldn't pop them, they may exert more pressure than a hicap in some cases, but they do not shoot them from the bottom of the mag to the top, they only move them a distance of 6mm at a time. In fact, hicaps may make them burst inside if they jam on the feeding wheel, though I doubt that would happen often.

it would be more like molle a bike tire pump in your vest and have 1 guy pump it while you shoot a few bursts. i'm most likely gonna make some at first

You'd never get high enough PSI via that method.

I don't think you realize the shear volume of air required to run those things...

you would be suprised. the design i'm using uses around 60 psi per 2k bb's.

PSI is not a measure of volume, it's a measure of pressure. Hence: Pounds Per Square Inch. The variation in PSI will change the FPS of BBs, but no matter what PSI you use you will need a MUCH larger volume of air than you could get pumping a bike pump. If you pump it up for several minutes (not on your back, unless you have a 10 foot tall friend) then you should have enough air compressed to fire a couple hundred BBs, i.e. less than a two second burst. So, again, bike pump not at all practical. Also, even if you did use a bike pump you would still have to have a chamber for the compressed air to be stored in prior to release, if you pumped it straight into the the vortex block you would shoot about five BBs ten feet.
