Alright so i was cruising the web and came across this: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=37497

Does anybody know anything about the manufacturer and their quality, or what the quality of the gun is and how it preforms? I'm curious because a unique western rig is coming to mind complete with a duster and all....

If you get one like this, be ready to take it apart and replace/lube O-rings if you want the performance you can get from a decent AEG.

Not saying it wouldn't be worth it, as these types of guns can get really high FPS (500-600 w/ 0.20s) if you take care of them...you just have to take care of them.

It is unusable in SC unless you use .20/.25s, shorten the hammer spring, or run it on duster due to the physics behind a long barrel and expanding gas. I didn't know this at the time when I was using mine, but .20g @ 550-570 (what mine shot) = WAYYYYY over the limit when using the .40s this gun needs. Unlike air powered rifles, gas rifles shoot harder with heavier BBs.

Also, it's a leaky piece of crap unless you constantly maintain it, and given that 99% of the gun is pot metal you will eventually have leaks everywhere simply from disassembly.

So there aren't really any redeeming qualities to it that would make it worth buying besides it looks cool?

The fact that its an internal magazine kinda kills all 'redeeming qualities'

I loved (love) mine for the following reasons:

Mechanism is basically failproof as long as the gas is contained effectively.
VERY fast follow up shots while still being 100% semi only.
Excellent range and accuracy (many older players will remember me standing at one side of the TT parking lot and shooting a coffee can on top of the garbage barrel in the opposite corner... flat, with no lobbing)
Sips gas like a Prius.

I got tons of kills with it, but shelved it when the seals started to go bad. I plan on resurrecting the rifle soon with an external air line run through a sling, but that's a story for another thread.
