"chemical" weapons

what are all you guys opinions of non toxic "chemical weapons" like body sprays, colored smokes, and stink bombs being in airsoft games?
i don't see any problems with it other than some kid with a happy spray finger, allergies, and dishonesty about being "exposed" other than that it should be fine.

At Fulda Gap orange smoke is used as a chemical weapon which would add another element to the games but some people wouldn't want to have a stink bomb go off near them.

i can understand that. axe is good, it is a noticeable smell, easy to find, doesn't require any kind of fuse, and doesn't make you have to take multiple showers to get out of all of your pores. it would be an interesting thing to have in a game to say the least.

I'll gladly shoot you repeatedly in painful places before I get my gear stunk up with highschool cologne, I mean deodorant.
Smokes, yes. You can see the effects which makes it easy to admin.
Stink bombs, no. They just stink, and make hardly any smoke.
Body spray, no. REALLY?

Smoke Grenades, sure, those work well, given that the field allows it.
Stink bombs, no, no one likes them, all it would do is just annoy people. I can't see it doing anything more than what a smoke grenade will do, but just make everyone start gagging.
Body Spray, um, I've no idea. I can't think of anything that body spray could be used to simulate, unless you want to use it as pepper spray, and even then.... it's not lethal. You'd be better off just tapping the person and telling them they are dead than spraying them and make them smell "nice" while being incapacitated or whatever the situation calls for.

i'm just thinking that with the body spray, is empty the can in the air like air freshener basically, and anyone in the area that smells it is dead and must respawn. i'm not talking about running up to someone and hosing them down with ass-in-a-can.
it's actually fairly realistic when you thing about it, except actual organophosphate compounds (aka nerve gasses) like sarin vapor have no smell. if i was going to spray people with stuff up close i would use silly string. more fun, easier to clean up but all the flammability of aerosol sprays.

But don't the smoke grenades already do that? You can smell them, you can see them, they are easier, don't "stink", and are safe. Not to mention that you need very specialized equipment to refill those type of canisters.

People already argue with smoke kills enough. If the only thing to determine if you're alive or dead is a smell, it would be even worse.

I liked the smoke bomb mechanic at Second Sun.
Get silly string on my gear and I'll kick you "hiney"

1. actual nerve and poison gases aren't usually seen so using an aerosol spray with a scent would be about as realistic as you can get without using actual nerve agents. yes, it would be easier to deny that you've been exposed as with smoke but these don't need a fuse and are cheaper than a good smoke bomb.
2. i'm not refilling a 99cent travel size axe can.
@steevo
if you spray a whole area, it can be "contaminated" and essentially be a dead zone. it's not perfect, but it'll do. it WOULD work fairly well at wellford though.

You wonder why Echo1 Operator trolls so much...
My thoughts on this are that smoke grenades are useful in some aspects. Stink bombs and "Axe" not so much. Take in to factor the wind and all your smelliness has just blown away.

i was just concerned with the smokes actually requiring a fuse to light.

That is why smokes are usually admin-only. I doubt anyone in real life carries nerve gas hand grenades.
