Fulda Gap Confusing Rule

THe rule page says all players must arrive before 0700 hours to ensure they go through the safety briefing. "All players arriving late will be forced to play on the Airborne Forces" , that does not insert until 1200 hours. This seems un clear, as if I pre register with (say West German 5th Panzer Division or US Armored Cav), and I arrive around 730-800 o clock Saturday morning, I will be very upset if I am forced to stand around until 1200. This seems harsh and unfair, as this is the only way we can get there on time before the game actually starts. If anyone knows arriving around 730-8ish is fine, please let me know.

You should just show up on time like everyone else.

I'm not condoning breaking the rules here, but...
Who's to say that you aren't just back in the parking lot getting a backup gun because your primary went down? There will probably be the better part of 1000 people at this event. There were 537 in 2010, and 797 in 2011. The paintball version had about 1000, and I want to say 700ish the year before. Based on those numbers, ~1000 is a realistic number.

So your going NATO? Dont worry you can sit in the parking lot all day, Warsaw will win again. However most of the games i have been to in the past 4 years have not started on time so i would not stress too much.

Pre registering has nothing to do with making the safety briefing. The rule doesn't seem confusing to me at all. In fact it seems pretty clear. Get there on time for the safety briefing or sit out until noon on Sat. Where is the confusion? Also, since the AOSC has nothing to do with Fulda's rules you might want to go ahead and ask CDWC since they run the event.

Thank you guys very much. Hatch, I am showing up on time, sorry if I mispoke. I have football the night before, and we are playing at Edisto High School, which keeps us from driving up Friday. We are leaving before 5 Saturday morning, and are planning to arrive around 745-800. It's only a three and maybe half hour drive up to Taylorsville. Thank you everyone for answering my question. Mods you may delete or lock this thread, as my question is answered now.

Sorry for thread jacking here, but is the majority of the AOSC running a certain side or group?

The reason you need to be there on time is because everyone has to watch the safety video before you can play. They will stamp your player card and if they check you and it is not stamped you would not be able to chrono or play.

I wouldnt worry too much about getting there at 7. Last year the line for chrono and safety saturday morning was ridiculous. Early is definitely better, but they were chronoing right up to the time game started.
