just a question brought up by one of my buddies. he's a backyard airsofter and he says he sometimes uses small ones as a "timed thunder b". he was wondering if he could still use them at aosc games. I told him probably not, but he insisted that I ask the aosc. well, what do you think?

Describe these "timed thunder b's"
If they are homemade, probably not
If they are timed thunder b's then yeah they sometimes work

Hell I am a jittery kid, I jump at anything loud. And all you need is that two seconds of broken concentration. It all comes down to who's on the receiving end.

hmm, you must be from the projects.

these things are basically a plastic bottle, "the works" toilet cleaner, and lots of aluminum foil balls. the toilet cleaner reacts with the aluminum creating lots of CO2 gas. that, in turn causes the bottle to be pressurized with CO2. the pressure keeps rising until the bottle can no longer contain the pressure, causing the side of the bottle to burst open, creating a deafening boom which can be heard for around 3/4 of a mile. it works like a thunder b, but it takes a minute or two for it to go off.

I have made these and I would highly reccomend not to as of the chemicals they use if the stuff touches your skin it leaves a large rash.

I believe this is actually very illegal, as you are making a chemical bomb. Something something something federal laws something, It's been a while, but I've seen several things about how these specific kinds of concoctions are illegal. Besides, it is dangerous, as Slim said, it can leave a rash, burn you, there could be shards of plastic that could hurt someone, not to mention the very, very loud BANG that happens.

Tell your friend that they are a big bottle of bad ideas and he should stop using them and making them. They are dangerous.

Use real thunder bs if that's what you're going for, heck, a friend with a plastic bag and a fast hand could easily make a distraction, and while not a good idea either, a firecracker would still be a lot better of an idea than the chemical bombs.

I think... Every time there is a idea about how to fit in more explosives and dangerously unsafe things into airsoft, somewhere, either creating the the thread or posting approval, the resident pyromaniac specter will post.

THIS IS A BAD IDEA
