Go with a G&G Combat Machine. KWA rifles have slight compatability issues, if you're planning on internal upgrades that would be a problem.

Ehh... I think its safe to say a KWA 2GX gearbox is a bit higher up the food chain than a G&G Combat Machine. For most people's purposes that gearbox should run indefinitely.

You can put regular aftermarket parts such as pistons is there, but the stock gears and everything else is pretty hardcore, as in its pretty damn tough. The motor can be replaced, as the barrel and hopup, but I don't see why you would need to with the hopup.

The big proprietary parts on the KWA are the cylinder nozzle, air nozzle, hop up unit, and gearbox shell. Most everything else is interchangeable, including pistons, gears, trigger assembly, on and on...

If you change one of these "air seal" proprietary parts, be ready to replace the rest as well to make them mesh and seal correctly.

The thing is that you can run a KWA for at least 2 years or so before you have to worry about replacing anything.

I have owned G&G and KWA. Both are great guns and you wont go wrong with them, but, KWA is the best way to go. You can run it forever and not worry about a problem unless you just really beat the crap out of it or do not treat it right.
